Just after some clarification regarding the cancellation of a service, in this case my VOIP telephone service with Vonage.


To cancel with Vonage, you have to call their Customer Accounts Department. They refuse to accept cancellation requests by email for security purposes.


However, they also refuse to accept cancellation requests in writing.


Is there a legal standpoint on this? I always thought that you had the right to cancel any service by writing.

I'm not sure but as I use this company I am going to read up the terms and conditions,

Sorry I not more help but you've helped me in away as I am at the end of my first year(12 month contract), I am free to cancel or am I.
