Registered charge on my property

Hi i went through divorce and ancillary proceedings back in 2000 and have a large legal aid bill which is a charge on my house and interest added is 3.78p per day,my ex represented himself and made many applications to court concerning the children and other issues ,every time i had to fight these application with legal help hence my legal bill grew,i was awarded the house and he a percentage which he receives when our youngest reaches 18 ,after the final decision on the house and the legal bill the judge looks at the final legal bill to see if it is fare and can reduce it which he did in my case although not by much,looking back now i had at least three solicitors who were rubbish and what i should have done is dispute there bill,i was not told i could have made representations to the judge concerning these solictors at the time which i believe through there incompetence has added costs to my bill,i cannot look through my case files untill my legal bill is paid and anyway there is a mountain of paperwork ,i did phone the legal aid board and ask them if the interest could be frozen and they said no ,so i have this big bill and never received a penny maintenance for my three children have paid the mortgage etc on this house and he receives a percentage when it is sold at the asking price when sold (not valuation at the time we went to court) so when i have to sell and the legal bill paid and the ex paid and the remaining mortgage paid , i dont know if there will be enough left for me to buy another house for me and my children?
