I know this has been said before, but many DCA employees read these forums (and, presumably, some of them even have debt problems of their own;) ) and sometimes people offer unsolicited advice by PM.

I would always suggest, if possible, keeping advice on the public forum.

If you must follow advice in PMs or by e-mail,you should be aware that this advice may be wrong and YOU are responsible for checking it is correct.

The golden rules are:

Be careful. Even if someone claims to be a lawyer, or expert, on line this doesn't necessarily mean they are so.

Don't pay money to anyone, without confirming who they are and what their qualifications are. Ask for references to other sucessfull clients. Don't be fooled by the fact it is for "expenses".

REPORT ANYONE ASKING FOR MONEY TO A MOD.It is against forum rules to ask for money or solicit business on this site.

Seek professional help initially from lawyers on the the citizens advice bureau list, national debt line, or via the college of law or Bar probono scheme and

Remember, if someone offers unsolicited advice in a PM, be very careful that you check it out. DCAs employees do read the boards, have access to PMs like anyone else and DCA employees don't have horns and 666 written on their foreheads.

i will be off site for the next month or so. if you have any problems, feel free to report the post so a moderator can help you.

I am not a qualified or practicing lawyer.

Are you sure about the last bit? Perhaps they just have access to very good cosmetics and bouffant wigs?

All help is merely my opinion only - please seek legal advice if you need to as I am only qualified in SEN law.
