I have just read through this thread and it has cheered me up so much lol!! this year has been so hard for me, coming out of a violent relationship now being a single mum in thousands of pounds of debt!! I get letters everyday threatening to come to my house take my possessions!!! arrest my wages (even though i'm on benefits) take me to court and so on!!! i was to scared to even open my curtains in the morning and when i took my son to nursery i was always looking behind me!! Now i feel so much better and i'm not scared of these nasty people anymore!!!! Tommorow will be a much brighter day for me!!! Thankyou everyone on this wonderful site!!!!! :-D

I've just had a phone monkey on, third call today from company and I've told the guy its now in the hands of debt management and he said "We will call you until we hear from them, and even then we can refuse." I said " If you refuse their offer and it goes to court I can prove to the Judge I made you offers..." I then asked for their complaints procedure - in writing - and will get the harrassment letter off to them today.

Had a few letters from DCA from 3 Valley Water people demanding and threatening to take me to court for money i owe them up to March 2009(yes as in next year)

Replied do not write again as you have caused stress and harrassment to me and my family i will report this to the police if i receive another threatening letter. Quoted Harassment Act and Administration of Justice Act, think i even threw in Article 8 Human rights(not that i know anything about them)

Ended with "if you think you have lawful reason to this money then sue me, i will respond to bonafide court documents, anymore of your direct mailings to me will result in a criminal complaint against you, as detailed above."

Sent it recorded delivery. So just waiting now......

a lovely xmas card for them bless. i must remember to send Debbie at Metropolition a xmas card and thank them for the money they had to repay me for collecting a debt of me that was not mine in the first place. I still cant belive how these cowboys operate and take money of 3rd parties who have nothing to do with the debt in question. But she was the one who told me about the limitation act strange a dca giving out this info.

Despite my harrassment letter to skycard they rang today, just the once for a change but they don't seem to want to give up!

 

Never mind plenty of abuse waiting this end for 'em! Hope they like my guns n roses albums cos that's what I play to them really loud!!

Dont Call centres have some sort of filter against loud noise input?

and might not using something like an air horn be construed as Assault?
