Just had another usless telephone conversation with Natwest !!

Basically, i had an OD limit of £1100

Over the last 6 years, i accrued £1123 worth of Bank Charges

So i claimed this back, and Natwest paid it into my OD Account

which then paid of my OD.

Since i'd become ODRAWN, they added charges of £526.77p

for being OVERDRAWN !!

I'm now being told i cant make another claim, and i'm lucky

that i got the £1123 back !!!

Their Solicitors want me to pay £526.77p

Which are charges owing to me ??

I wasnt aware that i had been charged another £526.77 ???

Any one help ?? :confused::(

Hi Emma,

Sounds like you're having the usual 'fun' with Nat West at the moment! ;)

Regardless of the fact that you've already reclaimed from them previously, you can still go through the reclaiming process again. However, you need to be aware that if you do they'll either try to force you to 'accept' their new account with a monthly 'management fee' or they'll close the account completely.

So, before you start the process, open a parachute account elsewhere and start moving all your finances over to the new account. Once you've done this, issue them with prelim/schedule of charges and start the process again.

If their solicitors are involved with this now, there's a good chance that they may start court proceedings against you at some point in an attempt to recover the cash. However, don't worry if this happens - we'll be around to guide you through what you'll need to do.

Best of luck :)
