Hi,

First time user. Can anyone advise what the difference is between passing on or selling on debt to DCA?

Should the credit card company know the full details of the DCA they have passed the debt to recover? Who should the debt be actually repayed to?

Has anyone had any current dealings with Natwest / Triton

Hope for advice!!!!!!:-?

no they wont know in some cases.

how old is this debt?

if it is old it might have been sold off

if not they are just acting as agents.

give us some more info?

how old is it?

are you disputing it?

etc

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Triton is the in-house collections department of the Royal Bank of Scotland plc [RBS] whose credit card department trade as MINT. In addition, triton also handle debts from Nat West (now that its part of RBS).

so are you behind with payments etc?

Did Natwest send you a default notice under the consumer credit act either before or after they sent the account to Triton?

Arrow Global/MBNA - Discontinued and paid costs

HFO/Morgan Stanley (Barclays) - Discontinued and paid costs

HSBC - Discontinued and paid costs

Nationwide - Ran for cover of stay pending OFT case 3 yrs ago

RBS/Mint - Nothing for 4 yrs after S78 request

They will continue with the statements until they sell the account to someone else or they formally terminate the account.

The default notice should state the nature of the breach. Have you now complied with it? If you complied within the time set, the account should return to normal. now.

This is an interesting one!! The same thing happened to me, i fell behind with payments then made a lump sum payment to get the account back to normal. However once they had the lump sum payment they refused to deal with me.

Then I found the CAG site and promptly sent Triton a CCA.

If your account returns to normal then great, but whichever way it goes you will be sure to get great advice and help on here!!

Good luck!!

Thanks for the advice. I will be sending off to them tomorrow CCA requests, with the £1 postal order, and using the template I found on CAG.

Can I confirm I send to Triton and not Natwest card services?

Triton are obliged to tell NatWest as theri principal. Further, as they are both in the same RBS group, it really doesn't matter. The CCA will be effective if you send the fee.
