Bank Stay about to Expire

Hi,

 

A stay was placed on my bank charges case against Barclays Bank. As my case was due just a short while after the OFT announcement, I belive it was one of the first. It was a stay of 6 months, meaning it will 'expire' (excuse me if this is not the correct term) in mid Feb. My question is what do I need to do? WIll the court contact me or will I need to go to contact them?

Hi Loki. As far as I know you have to phone the court and arrange for the case to be re scheduled due to the fact the time limit on the stay is now expired.

When you phone the court ask to speak to the court manager.

I am sure that the high court judge has recommended the stays remain frozen until he has come to a decission.This can take up to 7 months.

he has, but you still need to contact the court so that they can re list or re stay as necessary.

i didnt know that you had to re-list your or re-stay. i will contact the court asap. cheers lula

Well some of the order say that if the case has no action on it by a certain date that they will regard it as settled, so better to be safe than sorry

i just looked over the general form of judgement or order which is the last piece of paperwork i recieved from the courts. All it states is it is ordered that the case is stayed, there is no time limits. i will still give the courts a call like you suggested.
