Hi All I am new to this site!

I have a credit card debt which has now been sold on to wescot without my knowledge until a letter arrived this morning. it was previously with Blair, oliver and scott. Are they breaching anything by doing this? I am also going to respond by letter only to wescot and I am going to ask for the original credit agreement as I read so much about this on this site! I also have no knowledge of a default notice about this account originally with the Halifax can I request a copy of this too as the default is on my credit file.

i would be grateful of any help and advice

thanks

Perfectly legal to sell a debt on without your permission. Only thing required is that you HAVE been advised, which you have.

They are not obliged to provide a copy of the default notice.

Instead of trying to delay matters the important thing is to get this debt paid off. Why not phone them to agree a repayment schedule?
