I no longer have a contract with a certain TV supplier - they offered me a refund of an amount I was in credit but I never cashed the cheque (out of laziness and for the fact I forgot about it due to other commitments) but I have noticed that they keep on updating my credit file with "0" markers (payments up to date) rather than settled.

Is it just me or is this an incredibly good thing? I was thinking of cashing the cheque yesterday, but then thought, for the sake of 20 quid it's probably worth continuing to receive the good marks on my credit file.

Anyone else have an experience of this or any insight into it?

Cheers :D
