    • Hi   This is there Terms & Condition: Terms & Conditions WWW.RADIOWORLD.CO.UK Shop and purchasing something from our ecommerce store, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions contained in this document.   Now what I noticed with these is you need to go down the webpage to where is states 'Return and Refund Policy'   Now look directly above where it states 'Return and Refund Policy' you will notice it states: "International returns".   Look at 'Your Order Cancellation Rights' it states: You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 14 days without giving any reason for doing so.   Look at 'Conditions for Returns' it states: The Goods are in the original packaging and The Goods were not used or damaged. (so how are you meant to check the goods were fit for purpose)   Look at 'Returning Goods' You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the Goods to Us.
    • Hi   What the Landlord has done is the Right to Re-Entry/Forfeiture by changing the locks they have terminated your Lease Agreement as this is an easier route for the Landlord of a Commercial Property than going through the Court process.   Now the but for the above the Landlord must have something in your Lease Agreement for the Commercial Property that states this (so have a good read of your Lease Agreement about this).   How much are you in Arrears for the Commercial Property?   Was it actually the Landlord that changed the Locks or did the Landlord use a Bailiff?   Were you given any notice to have the Arrears paid by and any action the Landlord may take to recover?   Has the Landlord been in contact with you about the Arrears?   Some info for you:   From 25th March 2022 all previous restrictions due to COVID-19 were lifted but the Government introduced the Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Act 2022.   This sets out new Rent Arbitration Procedure that is Compulsory for Rent Arrears known as 'Protected Rent Debt'. The Arbitration will protect Tenants in certain Sectors where they were forced to close by the Government between 21st March 2020 and 19th July 2021. An Arbitrator will then decide how much rent these Tenants will have to pay. (note: Forfeiture is then prohibited for this Debt)   The above does not apply to Commercial Rent Arrears which had been incurred before 21st March 2020 or any that incurred post 18th July 2021.   These Restrictions DO NOT apply to Commercial Businesses that were not required to close by the Government   Have a Good Read of the Below Link: (you will have to download both the Commercial Rents (Coronavirus) Bill & Commercial Rents Code of Practice)   New measures in Bill to assist commercial landlords and tenants in resolving rent debts resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK Commercial tenants mandated to close to be further protected from enforcement action to pave the way for proportionate resolution of...

Hi wife and i,

Further back in my thread i mentioned, that i was overdrawn by £84 due to bank charges, the bank wrote to me and said if i never cleared this, they may close my account on the 7th August. I had included these charges into my claim and as the money is due to go into the account either today or tomorrow, would've cleared these charges. I do feel like they are being sneaky, if they were going to close my account or intended to why didn't they do it on the 7th.

Have a read of the bulletin because there's useful info in there. It's odd to close an account over such a small amount, so it must be retaliatory. Contact the bank and tell them that you will inform the court that they have denied you access to the payout, and therefore the claim is not yet settled unless the account is reinstated today - also tell them the the FSA will be informed. If nothing is done today phone the court before it closes and inform them of the state of play, then put it in writing.

Hi wife and i,

I just phoned the bank and asked whether he has sorted it out yet, manager sais he has been busy with customers, but as soon as he has dealt with the customer he is with now, he will find out whats going on and phone me back before 4.00pm. Obviously the court closes at 4.00pm, so i phoned the court and told them the bank has closed my account and therefore has denied me access to payment...the lady told me well they will have to send you a cheque...and my advice is to phone the bank and ask them "how do u expect me to get my money if you have closed my account".

She was not very helpful, but i told her i was telling her what the state of play was.

It seem the customers in the bank are getting priority, so if he hasn't phoned me by 4.00pm, i will be going into the bank personally.

Hi all,

Went to the bank he phoned customer relations himself, and asked if they could over-ride collection departments desicion to re-open the account, and they said they couldn't under any circumstance reopen the account.

They will be issuing a cheque after the bank holiday....i told them it is useless as i had no way of cashing it ( I have...but i was trying to play them off).

The bank manager was giving it i'm so sorry..maybe you could open a savings account....and the look on my face must've said it all.

So who gives you EXTRA? certainly not halifax!!

I questioned him about the closure of the account and showed him the banking code bulletin, and he said it was purely coincidental that they closed the account, and was due to being overdrawn for a lenght of time, and nothing to do with the claim. (What a load of c**p) they're just protecting themselves.

Anyway to save time when i recieve the cheque, i am cashing it at the pawnbrokers as they will only charge £200....and get this....£84 of it belongs to Halifax. Lmao.

Anyway thank you all for your help, and congratulations, and wish you all well with your claims.

Onto Nationwide next lol.

Hi all,

I tried opening an account with Natwest and they said No. I have 2 accounts with Nationwide, but without going into too much detail i really can't afford to wait the 7 working days for the cheque to clear.

The -£84 that resulted in having my account closed was included in my claim, so that will go towards the fees at the pawnbrokers.

Thank you all for your encouragement, and i wish you all well with your claims.
