Hi

Can anyone tell me what to do next please.

Credit card taken out by telephone and there is no recording of the call - hubby has paid PPI but is self-employed - he tried unsuccessfully in the past to claim sickness, but now that he is self-unemployed and cannot claim on his PPI they say he could backdate a claim for sickness and sent him a form. I sent a letter claiming PPI back saying the policy was mis-sold. Final response from them is no and to contact the Ombudsman. At the end of the day they sold him a policy which was neither use nor ornament. Do I contact the Ombudsman or send a LBA then take them to Court?

Hello Katholio,

MBNA only know one word "no", send them your lba, they will probably offer you a goodwill gesture, that seems to be their course of action.

If they offer a gwg accept it as part settlement, but want the rest.

Have you calculated the interest that you want on top at their contractual rate, is it 29.9%???????

How much are you after from them.

If they don't respond to your lba, its your choice really fos or court. The fos are very very busy with consumer complaints:lol: (there is a war on you know) so it can be a lenghty process, but if they rule on the side of Mbna, you have the option of the court route.

These companies are not scared of the fos, but they are scared of court, so you could issue a n1 at your local court. They then know you truely mean business:smile:

If you need help with letters or calculation just give a shout:D
