    • He carried out an engine change which started at £1895 then went to £2500 then an “electrical issue” so up to £3000. Got the car back, then within 300 miles the engine went bang in a big way pretty much blowing the crankshaft out of the sump.   Got the vehicle recovered back to him and that was 5 months ago. Excuse after excuse, blaming an electrical fault causing over fuelling which needed a new ECU @ £2500. Told him I wasn’t paying that, tried sourcing one myself and when I asked him to send me the details on the original ECU all of a sudden his “electricians” managed to get one and would sort it as “a favour.”   Then there was an issue with the wiring harness so that apparently needed sorting but they put a wrong connector on so had to go back.   Now the over fuelling is fine but all of a sudden it’s over revving so is sat with the “electricians” again.    Excuses with covid and being ill. It’s always the “electricians” fault and never anything to do with him. And again every time you call him out he’s on the defensive saying he’s doing me a favour.
    • Thank you for replying so quickly!  I honestly do not know if any enforcement action has already been taken.  My circumstances changed a lot over the last few years, moved abroad, moved house over there, moved back to UK and moved again since.  Any correspondence may have gone to one of those addresses but I assume would have been either returned or binned as nobody would have known my previous surname!  I just dont know whether I should do anything or wait to see if someone contacts me.  The amount is £10k, of which I never saw a penny!  I certainly cant afford that as I have two children at home with me, one is autistic and we are on Universal Credit! 😢

    • Welcome to the forum.   So in 7 months time....Aug 2022   An action cannot be brought on any judgment after the expiry of 6 years from the date it became enforceable. The term “action” only applies to the commencement of fresh proceedings on a judgment, it does not include enforcement proceedings so, strictly speaking, for enforcement purposes and enforcement proceedings, no limitation period applies.   However, any delay in enforcement on the part of the judgment creditor will affect any award of interest as recoverable interest is limited to 6 years on a judgment that is executed after the expiry of the 6 year period.   Court permission is required to enforce a judgment debt that is more than 6 years old. Further, the court is entitled to take account of delay and enforcement when exercising its discretion to grant any Order sought.   Regard's Andy

They hang their sword of Damocles over my head and go all silent on me refusing to answer very reasonable numerous requests for info. Hang on? I can ring them on these numbers until they answer. Genius.:D

I haven't phoned them in years, last time I phoned them was about 3 years ago requesting statements :D. It really pains me to call them, but if I have to in future, I've now got the numbers. Thank you. The Bank of Abbey Dick Turpin National have enough money out of me as it is
