This is a long story.


I have a mortage in my sole name, my wife is recorded on the mortgage as a person over 18 years only.

My wife applied for a secured loan, which I was asked to sign as well.

The loan is over 240 months and began in August 05. The mortgage on the other hand has less than 12 years to run.

Question's are

1. How can my wife be allowed to take a secured loan out, if she is not on the title deeds for the property?

2. I thought secured loans could only run for the duration of the mortgage?
