re hillesden securities i have recieved two more threats from these people saying they are going to send someone to my house so i lost the rag and rang them. they argued that i owe them this money and that they sent the cca a while ago and that they are not responsible for the post. they did not send anything i assure you.i told them that i would not accept any more corrospondence from them unless it is in writing and sent by recorded delivery. i also told them this in a letter. i have a copy of the last letter but i am unsure how to post it on the site, any help would be appreciated.they also said that they would not spend money on recorded deliveries that the first class post was ample. i am very worried about this and dont know what to do next. help please.

If they had already sent your CCA, what's to stop them sending it again?

 

PS NEVER talk to DCA's on the phone - keep everything in writing.

iv just this minute recieved a very bad copy of what appears to be the front page and the back page of a cca. it does have our signatures on it. am i now obliged to pay these maggotts?

What they have sent, to me, looks like it's in order. however, I'm not sure if that's all they should have sent you - bumping this up so that someone with a little more knowledge can take another look and advise whether it is enforceable.

I notice youve taken out ppi on this, and im wondering if you were told that you had to have that particular insurance if so it may be possible to argue that it was missold, and to ask for that monies to be refunded

hi, yes, im afraid the threats and the hassle got too much for us. we went to see a local solicitor and he arranged a weekly payment. in order for us to fight these muppets we need a full time solicitor, and we just cant afford one at the moment. we are trying for legal aid as my wife is on permanant disability,but i work so we may be turned down.

The good thing is is that you dont need a solicitor for this at all , just sit and read this site , it is full of all the info you will ever need and the people who use this site are all in a very similar boat as you , but fear not , take the advice given and lets get you and the wifes life back on track , if you are still getting phone calls just put the receiver down , your phone you can do anything you want with it .
