Hi

Can anyone just help me out. l have an Egg card which l unfortunately run into debt with, it was passed to a DCA and l have been paying 30 pounds a month as a repayment for a year. This morning l received a letter from them to say l hadnt been paying my repayments despite previous letters (have paid by standing order and no letters!) anyways l rung them, got a bit of a stroppy girl who sounded very bored even before l started to speak, it turns out, after a lot of confusion on her part, that because ld been paying 30 pounds they wanted me to up it to 35, when l explained that l couldnt do that, l have other debts that lm paying off, she said l had to do a financial statement and send it to them....my question is can they make me pay more and do a financial statement???????

If there is anyone out there who could give me some advice ld be grateful, also l have a cahoot card with the same DCA and I KNOW they'll be doing the same with that in the near future........

they can not make you pay more then you have

send them a financial statement - stating income and expenditure

then make them a pro-rater payment based on

egg debt x available income and divide that figure by your total debt
