hi

I have just received another pcn from cctv. They have put the wrong road address on the PCN. They have put the side st address rather than the main road where I had stopped. Can I appeal on these grounds and if I did can they ticket again with the correct address. Also they have a date of notice which is legible, but different to the date of incident they have tried to type in the date and time of incident but have double typed making the date non readable would this also help with appeal

Do not appeal yet. Wait for the Notice to Owner, then simply tick the box "The contravention did not occur"; don't give any detail. Wait for the formal Notice of Rejection and then appeal with the detail to PATAS.

If you make an informal appeal or notify them of their error, they can re-issue. The formal Notice of Rejection locks it all down

I would appeal on the ground that the contravention did not occur. (You were not in the place stated.) I would also appeal on the grounds that the penalty exceeds the relevant amount. The relevant penalty for a defective ticket is nil.

For goog measure I would add in anything else defective about the ticket and ultimately the NTO.

hi

Quite new to this what is PATAS.

regards BJM

The Parking and Traffic Appeals Service, it has jurisdiction for London, this is their website. Some don't trust them as independent, I do. With all my appeals I have either won at the hearing or the LA has withdrawn prior to the hearing.

The key cases and the cases digests in the annual reports are particularly interesting (in a dull sor of way!).

Outside London it is the National Parking Adjudication Service, this is their website.
