Can anyone help me - I need to request copies of my credit card statements

Can anyone tell me how I can get GE Capital to send me copies of my credit card statements? They say that my credit card went into deliquency and then sold to a debt collector. I wrote the "appropriate" department at GE and they responded by sending me to the debt collector. Is this within my rights to ask for copies of credit card statements? And if so, who is responsible to give them to me....the origial loan holder (GE Capital) or the debt collector who currently owns the debt (Resurgent Capital)?

Jo has of course directed you correctly.

Other things to consider are the discharging of the debt by them.

There are legal procedures they are expected to conform with.

You should have been informed about much of this before things got to this stage.

If you have been defaulted then you should have been sent proper documentation advising you of this.

It is GE themselves who will be responsible for giving you. the copy statements.

You could send a request under the CCA for copies of the paperwork involved in the sale including a signed true copy of your original agreement with GE.

I think its worth you having a look in the debt forums to get more understanding of the options and steps that you can take to resolve things.
