Hi, I was just wondering if TVL applies to streams which aren't TV broadcasts over the web? Two examples are: 1) NASA Solar Dynamics Observatories feeds, which are the exact feeds which NASA staff use to monitor the suns dynamics. 2) Various live webcams around the internet i.e. traffic-cams etc They aren't broadcasts for TV purposes, but they certainly are live, if not maybe a 30 minute lag time but still theoretically live. It'd be interesting to know how instances like this would apply. Cheers, Ade

My son had a visit from two officers from TV licencing he did not have a licence in place and told them that he froze it back in September because he was going to Scotland which he did. He contacted them a few weeks back to reinstate the licence and was spoken to like a criminal, the guy was most unhelpful and demanded payment eventhough he asked for a payment card, he did not have any cash in the bank as he is on JSA. I thought i would receive a reminder letter but I got an 'officer' at my door in March. The TV was not on at the time, and I rarely use it. I went along with it as i knew i would need one again. I set the direct d

Today I have received a Court Summons from the TV Licensing people for not having a TV Licence for a whole week The TVL Guy came to my house on Sunday 26th October & clearly could see the TV switched on. in the front room. The TV had only just been replaced by the warranty co 3 days previously, after a 6 week wait for them to see if they could repair the old one. He tried to caution me on the doorstep to which I did not agree with, as he is not an officer of the law & I stated that I would not sign his paperwork. I told him today was the first day of using the TV & he c
