  1. Am seeking advice here due to the issue is with my ex partner. She received a text early November saying the account was been limited due to excessive use and a bill of over £200 been created. The payment was taken by DD even though no bill for the charges has been produced and was requested numerous times. Phone contact did nothing to resolve this issue and she advised them to cancel the contract immediately and send a final bill. She also informed them the DD would be cancelled and if the charges found to be legit then the bill would be paid. The SIM card was removed after that conversation (Early November). I then took possession of the SIM card so know it has not been used since then. T Mobile have now sent a demand for over £200 again for new charges since the last DD was taken in NOV. No bill has been supplied justifying these charges or what they consist of. What is the best way to proceed with this issue. It sounds like the standard not been able to collect DD pay up or else letter. The contract was a 30 rolling 2400 Minutes, unlimited text and internet so i myself would like to see how these excessive bills have come about.
  2. This is my story . I had a £16 a month sim only contract with tmobile for 2gb of data ,1000mins and unlimited text. My contract was due to end on October 28th. In september i got a bill from tmobile saying i had to pay about £158 for internet usage , which they promptly took by direct debit. With this incident I decided I would leave t-mobile > I called in to cancel my contract as i knew October was the last month, they refused to cancel and said I had to give them a months notice and since I was telling them to cancel in October , I will have to wait another month till November to cancel. I said fine and they gave me a date in November and sent me my PAC codes. I now signed up with another provider O2 and O2 advised that on November 12 they would transfer my t-mobile number to their network. today i received a bill from t-mobile charging me Over £3000 for internet use on the day I was transfered to O2. They are charging £7 per mb for 483mb which they claim was outside my 2gb allowance resulting to £3088. I was shaking. I called them and they said the internet was on the 12th of November the same day O2 transfered my number. I complained to them on the phone that this cannot be and complained. They said they will investigate in 3 to 2weeks. Meanwhile they plan to take the money from my account on the 30th. Now if they dont get the money they will default my credit rating. Please what can i do. I have a nagging feeling that this charge was to punish me for leaving them. I also read that the EU had capped the charge of internet charging on any phone in the EU to 50euros....£42 how come t-mobile if this bill was indeed true can charge me £3000. How come they did not inform me that the cost of out of allowance charges was £7 a mb. How come they did send an alert to say i have exceed my limit. I also read that the amount for data usage is about 0.20 euros...as stated by EU regulations. .how come tmobile is charging £7.....is this correct . I am worried that they will mess up my credit file if they dont get this money .. ...what can i do . ..i dont earn enough to pay that kind of money for anything. Should i take a loan to pay them to stop them messing up my credit file. Please some one help me. I cant sleep now....i have to go to work tomorrow and with this shock i cant
  3. Hey Everyone, let me take you back to October 2013 when all this began. First off I'd had been with T mobile for many years but I was looking to cancel my contract with them to change over to o2,my contract with T-Mobile at the time was a two year (iPhone) contract, which was coming to an end either September 2013 or the start of October 2013. I decided to ring them up and explain the situation, that I was moving and there was no chance of me staying as one of my friends was getting me a great deal on an o2 contract, from what I remember from the phone conversation all I had to pay was the last months phone bill which I did and then the contract would end as it would not be renewed. I then purchased my o2 contract on the 16/10/2013 and transferred over my number from T mobile to o2. From this point I thought Id never see anything from T mobile again, until I get a bill on my doorstep of £91.57(£56.38 for line rental, termination penalty £13.78,notice period change £24.25)on the 27/10/2013,I chose just to simply ignore this probably not a good idea, but the employee on the phone said nothing about any of these charges. I then get an overdue balance reminder on the 13/11/13,same again on the 04/12/13,after the second one I decide to ring T mobile and explain, what i have explained to you,the women says i must write to head office so they can deal with it. Which I did not do,which probably was not a good idea. Then I get a letter from capquest on the 17/12/13 explaining that they now control the debt from T mobile and that the line will be terminated that really made me laugh as it had been canceled 3 months ago,so anyway I ring capquest and explain to them that I am still in depute with t mobile about the case and I am in the process of sending a letter to head office,he says no problem I well put a stop on the account. At this point I am thinking ill get round to it when I have time, which I don't,I do not hear nothing for 3 months so at this point I think that i have won and they must have removed it from the system or something. Until on the 21/06/2014 I get a letter from Wescot in big red letters with all the usual stuff, outstanding balance blah blah,so anyway I am now thinking well I am just not going to reply. I have now had letters from them on these dates. 01/07/2014 Reminder notice. 11/07/2014 25% Reduced settlement offer £87.22 that made me chuckle. 27/07/2014 options tailored to suit you. 07/08/2014 As we have not been able to contact you directly it is our intention to instruct a doorstep collection agency,Scotcall to conduct this face to face meeting. This is where I now have the problem as I live at home with parents and I do not really need this coming to my parents door step when I am not here to basically say well you're not coming in. So yeah I am not sure whether to just pay it or actually write to T mobile this time,or call up wescot and explain the situation. Help is greatly needed as soon as possible sorry for the long round about explanation but wanted to give you the whole situation. Thanks for reading. Mark B.
  4. Hello all, hope you're all enjoying the gorgeous weather. After having several years of financial issues, and being chased by every DCA under the Sun, I decided earlier this year, now being self employed and earning ok money, I would work my way through my creditors and pay back as much as possible. My credit record is shot anyway, but the calls/emails were getting too much. Being a business owner, Bankruptcy was not an option. Lowell own quite a substantial amount of my accounts, and to be fair, since I called them offering a payment plan, they have been ok with me. I am expecting to have cleared 3 (worth about £2500) by the end of 2014, however there is one which has an ENORMOUS balance which relates to T-Mobile/EE. I had the contract with T-Mobile circa 2010, pay monthly contract, and several months in, lost my job and couldn't pay the bills. At that stage I had about 2 months of bills to catch up with totalling £336.22, inevitably TMobile disconnected me and that was that. I changed addresses a couple of times for work, and eventually got another phone - with EE!! Typical. Lowell have now started to ask me questions about this previous account, and are pushing me to address it alongside my other debt, however the amount owed has rocketed by an extra £916.63 due to contract cancellation/early termination, meaning the amount owed is £1252.85! Is there anything I can do to dissuade Lowell to pursue the full amount? It seem completely and utterly wrong, especially since I am still a customer of EE. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Cheers guys, AN.
  5. Hi all new here, If anyone had a problem like this I could do with help, basically I've been with tmobile since 2006 I have a mobile broadband stick on contract, always been okay no issues, in October 2013 was due an upgrade so logged into my account, I see a balance of 329.00 credit, so I called them asking what this was for, they told me it was an overpayment and owed it me, I assured them I didn't believe this was the case as my bill was 10.40 pcm and had never overpaid. They then returned the money at there discretion intomy account, I did my upgrade which doubled due to ee taking over and not giving any money off for been with them for years, anyway on 19/2/2014 I received a letter stating I owed them 329.00, so I called again and they told me that they had put the money into my account by accident and owed them it back, no problem told her I had called before etcetc, they said they'd been trying to call me on the contract number which I told them was the dongle I have on contract and doesn't take calls as they supplied it should know, my normal 20.40 payments were taken as normal and never stated on my account I owed 329, on the 20th I get email from experian telling me to check my report, tmobile have put a 4 on my report stating I'm 4 months late with my payments, my report now says bad, basically this was not a monthly payment error, was internal error on tmobile side, my monthly payments were taken as normal never missed any, I can't call anyone from there credit agency. Side as no numbers and tmobile customer services won't help outcomes it has to be done by there credit referrals who have no numbers, Can they say I'm 4 months late when I pay by dd and have not got 4 months behind? As it's not the monthly payment that was late it was there stupidity. Any info would help Thanks
  6. Happy New Year all! I took out a contract with Tmobile on 6/6/12 - this is a 24 month contract, so as I work out, this contract should end on the 6/5/13, which is 24 months - Tmobile are saying the contract ends on 6/6/14, which I work out to be 25 months. Am I being dense here?? Tmobile also wrote advising me I could get a upgrade early for a discounted £50 and advise me of the phone and price plan I can have - the letter mentions no other costs, so I trot along to their shop, only to be told I have to pay a fee for the handset. I complain - they say basically tough. The small print (v small) states "you may have to pay a fee for the handset. I want to report them for false representation - who do I do this too please??? This is not the forst time TMobile have been dishonest and I want to hit them where it hurts....... Many thanks
  7. My husband has an ihpone 4s, on T-Mobile, on contract which we bought from www.buymobilephones.net in September 2012 . ... For a few weeks, since upgrading to IOS 7, hes had nothing but battery issues. We went to the Apple shop who told us to turn off some notification sets then come back if its not helped ...which it didn't. went back today, and tried to get it serviced and a replacement battery. ..to be told that it had been tampered with inside, the screws near the battery compartment weren't there and the battery was stuck down with superglue. My husband has swore blind neither he or anyone else he knows has tampered with it, and would swear under oath if we had to. I don't know what to do.. .whether we should fight it at all. ..and if so, do I fight T-Mobile or buymobilephones.net?? no idea where to go from here. any advice would be really appreciated.
  8. Hi I'm in need of some helpful advice on how to proceed with this please. 3rd July 2012 I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S III Marble White 16GB online from Tmobile for £200 (capital one credit card) + 18mth contract (£26 ish). January 2013 it became faulty and Samsung sent a courier to collect it and Regenersis in Glasgow repaired a faulty usb connector on 21st Jan. Unfortunately I have no proof of this, but Samsung are not denying that this took place (so far). 11th June 2013 I awoke to a completely dead phone and took it to an authorised repair shop who deemed it Beyond Economical Repair due to an unauthorised repair on the usb connector Basically he explained that he didn't believe that the repair was carried out by Samsung (flux residue around charging point) and the warranty was void. You can imagine my surprise and anger at being accused of such a thing. I rang Samsung and explained and they said send it in for inspection. To cut a long story short today I have received the decision from Head Office that they will not repair my phone free of charge as they believe it has had an unauthorised repair on the usb charger and is subsequently out of warranty. Basically Samsung believe that I got the usb repaired via themselves in January under warranty, then paid somebody else to repair it again in the meantime. And the actual customer care woman (Laura) said that they "Believe their technicians more than they do their customers" and that " You can't prove otherwise"........... Tmobile are not interested and I now realise that not going through them for the repairs was probably a mistake. Consumer Direct have advised me to check my contract with Tmobile and formalise my complaint with my credit card (consumer act 1974 sec 75), samsung & tmobile (sale of goods act). I'm prepared to see this all the way through as I think it's an absolute outrage. I'm just feeling a little wobbly as how to go about it and how I can prove I'm telling the truth and would appreciate some guidance. I am not prepared to have my phone repaired at a cost of £120 (even under protest) as Samsung have deemed the 2yr warranty now void, which means I will lose the remaining 13mths left of the guarantee and have to pay for any further repairs required. Can I only claim the £200 from my credit card company? Or as it came as part of an 18mth contract can I also claim/cancel the remainder of the term? I've attached the the image that Samsung have sent me of the "proof" that they based their decision on.
  9. Hi, cut a long story short i told tmobile where to go three months before my contract was up back in 2010, they sold my details to a company called t3, they constantly harrassed me to join them and after asking where they got my details from they told me they bought them off of tmobile! I called tmobile to explain this and that someone was selling details, i beleave this was even in the press! I said im cancelling my contract and left it at that! They sent me a final adjusted bill including an early terminationn fee, i didnt pay and never heard from them until they sold my debt in 2012 to sigma, now i havent responded to them i have court claim issued, please help as i dont know what to do, shall i file my defence and hope for best? Or take up a dispute with tmobile as this was left and never chased just sold. Many thanks
  10. Hello All, I am new to this forum. So please excuse any mistakes. I was( am ?) on a T-Mobile contract which should have expired on 07/05/2013. I called T-Mobile in late March(or first week of April. I don't remember the exact date) to enquire the cancellation procedure if any. I was advised that I have to give 30 days notice. So I called them again on 07/04/2013 and told them I would like to leave the contract as soon as my contract expires and convert me to "pay as you go" (PAYG). I also asked them would there be any other charges other than the normal bill. The customer service personal informed. I wont be charged anything after 07/05/2013 and just have to pay for any usage out of my allowance till 07/05/2013. On 02/05, I called them to request my PAC code, so that I can retain my number. But I was told in order to get my PAC code I have convert my contract to "30 days rolling contract" (26£) and give them another 30 days notice which I refused. They told me the other option I had is to pay them £10 which would be added as credit to PAYG and request the PAC code once my PAYG is activated. I informed them that I was not told about the £10 earlier and would not want to pay it as I have another phone. Now they insist if I have to convert to PAYG I have to pay £10 irrespective of whether I require the PAC code(which I would like to have). If I knew they would charge me, I would have requested PAC code on 07/04/2013 itself. I requested to talk to their Manager. The lady in customer service informed the manager will call me back within 2 hours. But nobody called me in last 5 days!. When I checked the balance in the phone yesterday (08/05), I am still have the talktime allowance left which means they have not converted my line to PAYG. So I called them. I was informed the process is started and I would get a final bill today. So legally is there anything I can do to stop them from forcing me to another months of contract or coughing up £10 for PAYG? Thank you in advance.
  11. PLEASE HELP! I purchased two tmobile premium numbers for a £1000 each for my parents and they were working fine for three months. We went abroad for a few months and on our return we found that the numbers no longer work. I have called tmob who simply say the numbers were lawfully transferred as the person who called to do the transfer gave my password. I did not authorise this and tmobile are refusing to even look into it! I want my numbers back but dont know where to start... has any one had any experience like this and can provide some assistance? I hear tmobile have employees who transfer premium numbers not being used for a while for a bit of money under the table! Please help!
  12. Hi all. In October of 2012 I ordered a Iphone 4s from t-mobile on a 30 (odd) pound a month contact for 2 years. The draw for me was the unlimited text/minutes/web, while speaking to the chap from t mobile. I asked about insurance and he said that at the time they were between insurance agencies and that the new policy would not be going live till the following week. I asked him if he could sign me up when the insurance was available. He said that he would and that I need not call back. Anyway phone arrives and the contract/phone worked great. fast forward 5 months... I went out last Saturday morning very early and thought I left my phone at home.... turns out I left it in the taxi. I tried to call the taxi but as it was a black cab and there are a zillion of them I was unable to. I called up T mob and explained the situation.I asked to make a claim on my insurance and they said I didn't have any although the chap on the phone said I am eligible for an upgrade and I should go into town to the nearest tmob shop and get my FREE and replacmemt Iphone 4s. went into town and the guy in the sho[ just laughed at me. turns out I am not eligible for an upgrade. so I called tmob back and the 3rd guy I spoke to said that I was not eligable also he would call me back at 5:30pm as he was going to try escalate the situation. 9am the next morning I am still waiting. so I called them back again and then explained the situation. the lady I spoke to then said that there was no way I could upgrade unless I wait till the 31st of the 6th month and pay a early upgrade fee. I asked to speak to a manager and after a little hasstle I managed to get through to a manager asked to make a claim on my insurance and they said I didnt have any and they are not going to do anything about it however she actually did try and help. she was going to try get the insurance added on so that I could make a claim. no luck there..... she then said that I could upgrade for a early upgrade fee.... my alarm bells started ringing... i asked how much? she said between 450 and 500 pounds.... I explained that that was not an upgrade however it was a new connection and requested she tell me the truth and not dress up things to make them more appealing. I refused it. she then said she would try and see what they could offer and she would call me back... that she did but they said that there was nothing they could do but give me 2 months free line rental. I didnt take this as I would not want them to use it as a "well we offered you something and you took it" excuse. She even admitted that it was T mobiles fault and that they should be held responsible. I was instructed to write into their customer relations department and request it in writing. I am prepared to do this but I just feel it is going to be a fob off. I am more then happy to pay a small (and I mean small) fee for a replacement (meeting me in the middle) I even though about taking out another contract for where the phone would be chargeable (minimally) and they reduce my current contract to match what I am paying now so Id have 2 contracts but the same amount of outgoings. if that makes sense. I am going to write to them but I don't know exactly what my rights are... please if anyone can help I would be so great full I don't want them to walk all over me. I f they refuse then I will see that as a breach of contract and thus leave the current contract null and void. also I will be going to ofcom and twitter about the issue. am I right?
  13. Hi, I have a tmobile account. I went online to a third party mobile site because I needed a new laptop and my partner needs a new phone so I tried to put an order in for a new mobile contract that had a laptop as a sign up gift. When I clicked to complete the order the page said error and actually said "your order can not be processed at this time". I did not get any emails or anything, so I assumed the order had not gone through. I went else where and was all sorted but 5 days after trying to place the order a mobile was delivered by the company above. I have returned the mobile this morning, it arrived Friday. My problem is when I tried to call the company, they said that if I return the phone they will 'try' to cancel my contract. Having logged on to my original tmobile account I have now got a second line and my bill is due to be produced on the 18th. I phoned tmobile who said they can't do anything because the line was purchased through a third party! Im getting really stressed that im going to have to pay a mobile contract that I don't want. Any advice on my rights and what to do? Thanks in advance, I love you guys
  14. I have had a 30-day SIM only rolling contract with T-mobile for over 12 months. It had a fixed allowance of landlines and texts and unlimited landlines for monthly tariff of 15.32+VAT. On 2012-10-14 I lost my handset (not provided by T-mobile), in a pub at a party on Cowley Road Uxbridge. A couple of days later (I can find exact date in my email) I went to a T-mobile store in downtown Birmingham on or near Corporation Street whereI was visiting at the time, and asked to report my phone lost. The store keeper allowed me to use his phone to speak about this to Customer Service for T-mobile to who I also requested for the service to be cancelled, A man begged me to keep the plan, and he would not only send me a shiny new phone but my monthly tariff would be 10.00( pound sign key does not work on my keyboard). In addition to all the existing benefits he said I could call 0870-etc numbers at no additional cost as they would be counted as mobile minutes. I agreed. Two months later I happened to log into my online T-mobile account as saw a bill for around 100.00. I'd been charged 50 quid for November and 50 quid for December. The first thing I noticed on the bill were calls that I did not make, which they say I did, to some kind of premium mobile numbers. I also found they were charging me for landlines. So I went to that shop again as soon as I could which was on 2012-12-07 and they again put me on the phone to tmobile. The latter kept me waiting for over an hour and said any charges on a bill would always have to be paid. I asked her to cancel my plan and she seemed to squak at me.(I did read out some of the mobile numbers I never called but I am billed for. So I hung up and asked the storegirl and she said it was none of her business. I then mentioned how they clone phones meaning it is possible for someone else, (including T-mobile themselves) to make calls (or add calls) from/to your phone without you having made any. She would not budge. I wrote a letter by recorded delivery(BY015837563GB)2012-12-10 to Tmobile complaints about the discrepancy and they have signed and received it on 2012-12-12. I subsequently downloaded my bills for the last 12 months and to my shock found they have changed my online information for a contract of a few years. This is NOT what I agreed to, when the T-mobile man said he was going to let me keep the everything the same except my contract would be for 10.00 a month. I also tried to talk with Tmobile Customer Service by dialling 150 on my Tmobile on 2012-12-16 which call I monitored. They refuse to budge and said such a big company as T-mobile would NEVER charge anybody for what they dont owe, like the girl on the phone on 2012-12-07. I have cancelled the direct debit with Natwest bank on 2012-12-16 after speaking with T-mobile. I was about to be debitted on 2012-12-17. However they have told me I will be paying through the nose several years monthly bills and otherwise my credit rating will be affected. I also found that whereas T-mobile customer service still say I have unlimited free landlines they have been charging for them since the new phone and lower tariff. I also found whereas the T-mobile website says they are collecting 100 quid off me as joint bill for November and December my bank statements show I have already been debitted 50 quid for November. I seems Tmobile makes debits in stealth. They have additionally billed me in the itemized bill for mobile internet use but I have an old-fashioned phone with no email or mobile internet, just calls and texts. In February I had someone send me premium rate texts when I was attending a party, which I did not ask for on the same T-mobile. I then asked for a refund as T-mobile said the 3rd party provider of those texts was msn and the girl at that number wont budge. She just cries "You had to have made them, you are paying" and hangs up. I used to be good and having my fraudulent transacations reversed etc but now they appear to have started a new reality where they wont budge an inch.Even though I do reasonable amount of bookkeeping I am not successful in dealing with the fraud as the traders are 100% inflexible, just say "You pay" and hang up. What to do as my credit rating will be affected or I will have to pay out hundreds of pounds. Please tell me how to beat the crooked company as I have in the last 2 years been abused and abused and the complaints system are 100% watertight-I just have to take it Mohini Hersom
  15. I've asked this elsewhere, but it may be more appropriate here. I began a 30-day rolling contract in January after my previous 18 month contract came to an end. The monthly contract was for roughly £13pcm. On the 28th of June I ported my number to GiffGaff. I received my final bill a couple of days ago that stated I owed them ~£20. A Notice Period Charge of £24.xx and a rebate of £4 for what I assume was ending my contract part-way through the month. I sent TMobile an email refuting the charge, and received the following back (the actual mail was more lengthy, this is the meat): Does anyone know what is meant by the 'to ensure you always pay for the next 30 days' nonsense? When I requested the PAC, at no point was I told that I would be charged for using the PAC within 30 days. I know that it's 'only £20', but it's the principle of the matter. The monthly contract was for only £13, and you can't say in all seriousness that clicking a few buttons on the computer leads to administrative costs of £24. Am I right to challenge this charge? I've cancelled my direct debit so there can be no 'oops, we took the money anyway!' mistakes. What are the implications of fighting this? Thanks to everyone who reads this.
  16. hi this is my first post. recently applied for a mortgage and was knocked back. checked my credit report to find i had a fair score! never had to borrow money from anywhere and only had mobile contracts. turns out i have a red default on my account from 4 years ago with lowell! i remeber paying lowell via the internet as soon as i recieved their letter £119 i emailed them telling them to rectify the default. i received an email stating i defaulted with t mobile not them. i cant remember ever being with t mobile and with it being so long ago how do i find out? also not sure how to boost my credit score im on the electoral role etc. my dream house is slowly slipping through my fingers..... cazzano x
  17. hey, thanks in advance for any info, I have an orange mobile contract on my credit file showing a default and settlement, the problem is that it appears twice! (well, kinda twice.. it looks like I've had two contracts but the second has no start or end balance or settlement) could I get this removed from my data file? also I have an old Tmobile contract which there was a bit of a mix up over (they ended up owing me £45!) but for a while there was a dispute and I ended up with a bill of £400 which shows up as a default and settlement.. is there any way to remove this too. . I've three settled accounts now on my file! which is good.. but lots of red.. which is not so good.. (there is an ancient virgin account where I owed them £120 showing as a settled default too on there) I'd love to get these got rid of if it's possible.. but I'm not even sure where to look.. or if I can actually do this!
  18. Hi, I have an issue with T-Mobile I'm trying to sort out and I'd appreciate some advice. First to the background... apologies for the lengthy post and the sizeable images, but I wanted to provide as much info as I can. A few years back I had a contract with T-Mobile with phones for both my wife and I on the contract. I was the sole account holder. During a girls' break abroad in 2006, my wife used her mobile to send texts to myself and our children - unknowingly racking up a hefty bill, as T-Mobile charged connection fees per text. After trying to come to an arrangement to repay with T-Mobile, they eventually defaulted the account and passed it to a DCA and I began to repay them at an agreed rate per month. Everything was fine until October last month when the DCA stopped taking their regular standing order payment. Not wanting to be a non-payer, I tried to send payments manually but after a few days the payment would reappear back in my bank account - clearly the DCA was no longer collecting the account. I contacted T-Mobile support (almost impossible!) via email and Twitter, only to be told that as the account had been passed to a DCA, they weren't able to accept payment on the account and I would have to deal with them. I had lost all record of who the DCA was, and asked them who was administering the account - they couldn't tell me which DCA was assigned my account. So I was stuck in the position of wanting to repay my debt, but having no-one to pay it to. T-Mobile wouldn't take my money, nor would it seem the DCA, whoever they were. After a few months of trying, I gave up, and the DCA hadn't bothered trying to get in touch re: non-payment. I figured that after almost 12 months and no contact that it was a dead account. Last month, I tried again with T-Mobile and the DCA with similar results, so I wrote to T-Mobile's CEO asking if he would expunge the remaining balance and consider removing the default as a gesture of goodwill in light of the hassles I had had. He agreed to the former, but not to the latter. So fast forward to today and I'm checking my monthly credit reports through Equifax and Call Credit (Annualcreditreport) and I notice that T-Mobile have indeed marked the default as settled. HOWEVER, they have also wiped all history of the debt between the original default date (Dec' 06) and the date of settling the default (July '11), alleging the account entered default in Sept '10 after a period of arrears - this is clearly not true! I've screengrabbed my credit report from last month and this month to illustrate. Accout as it was 4/7/11.. Account history, according to Annualcreditreport... Account as it shows today... I've opened a dispute with Equifax stating the above information and that the information recorded is inaccurate .. I wondered if there was anything else I can do? Surely T-Mobile can't doctor previous information in this manner to paint an erroneous picture of the behaviour of my account?
  19. Hello all, Received a letter today from Bryan saying: "Payment must be made in full within the next 14 days, failing which we will recommend to our client that proceedings be issued without further notice" Outstanding balance 136 Court fees 15 Solicitor costs: 50 Total if proceedings are issued: 201 Apparently I still have an "opportunity to contact fredrickson with payment proposal. So here is the history. About 5-6 years ago I had a contract with TMobile. I remember losing the phone that came wit the contract in Bournemouth. After that I don't remember what I did with regard to the TMobile contract. 13/12/2010: Receive letter from TMobile stating I owe £136.76 and that "On 30/09/10 your account was sold to Lowell Portfolio I Ltd" (does this mean Lowell paid off my debt?). I also received a letter from Lowell breaking it down as £37.09 for line rental and 99.67 for "early termination fee". 29/12/2010: Red DCS send me a letter saying the account has been passed to them. 13/1/2011: Another letter from Red saying my account is still outstanding and they might check my credit file. And that they can use Hamptons Legal to recover said some. 31/1/2011: Hamptons Legal (actually just another letterhead from Lowell) write to me and say they are "assessing your account for legal axction" and they have my credit file. Bonus points for threats to use bailiffs if a CCJ is awarded... 14/2/2011 (Happy Valentines Day): They offer me a 50% discount amid a letter full of CCJ threats. 25/2/2011: Lowell Financial letterhead, "make us an offer" letter. 1/6/2011: Fredrickson "have been instructed by Lowell who have passed this account to us for collection of the outstanding balance. I "must contact us immediately on..." 8/6/2011: Lowell send me a strange A5 yellow card which reads "CONFIRMED RESIDENT" in big letters. The photocopy is really bad as the address at the bottom is only half visible. "This account is seriously in arrears and you have failed to reply to correspondance or make a payment plan. Contact us or we may pass your account to solicitors..." 21/6/2011: Fredrickson "pay in 7 days otherwise we will take immediate action" 5/7/2011: Today I got the Bryan Carter letter. What should I do? It seems Lowell paid off my debt.
