  1. Hi - I received a parking ticket that wasn't paid, and one thing led to another - it went to Task Enforcement, who sent a letter telling me I needed to pay. I called to ask if i could pay in instalments, they said i need to pay it all - so said I would pay by the end of October. As it happens, my work had an issue with their PAYE, and it didn't go through on time, and I didn't pay - my fault entirely. I thought they'd send me a reminder, and forgot about it. QI received nothing from Task - until a phone call from my wife to say my car had been clamped, on Friday morning. I was then
  2. Hi my daughter was just leaving the house for work, opened the door to go out and a task enforcement bailiff stepped his foot inside the door blocking her exit. She told him to remove his foot but he wouldn't. He was collecting a debt for £826 for a vehicle that was registered fraudulently in my name which she explained to him. She called the police who were no help. He refused to budge until he was paid. Reluctantly we paid up for a fine that wasnt mine but the police said if we can prove it we can get a full refund. I been in contact with

  4. I have just received a letter from a company called Task Enforcement ltd, saying I owe them £187 for a parking fine I received last August. The £187 is broken down into £112 debt, £75 collection fees which seem ridiculous since all they have done is send a letter. I never paid the fine, as when I was sent the details of it, I appealed it (as only my rear wheel was on the yellow lines, car was 80% in a parking space, for no more than 20 mins). I never heard back from the council, and just assumed that it was accepted. Now I have been sent this sa
  5. Computer maker Lenovo has been forced to remove hidden adware that it was shipping on its laptops and PCs after users expressed anger. The adware - dubbed Superfish - was potentially compromising their security, said experts. The hidden software was also injecting adverts on to browsers using techniques more akin to malware, they added. Lenovo faces questions about why and for how long it was pre-installed on machines - and what data was collected. The company told the BBC in a statement: "Lenovo removed Superfish from the preloads of new consumer systems in January 201
  6. can someone please help on the 25th march I received a enforcement order saying I owed £140 for a parking ticket in the LB Lewisham I have no knowledge of this parking fine so I wrote to task enforcement and LB Lewisham. I received a letter back from task saying the parking ticket was for LB Barnet and not LB Lewisham and I needed to pay it by 21 November 2013 even thou the letter they wrote back was march 2014 I called LB Lewisham who told me to speak to task. i called task who Informed me the systems was down till 8th April and could not check
  7. Evening, I'm hoping that someone may be able to give me some advice please. Whilst I was at work today a Task Enforcement 'bailiff' came to my house & when my wife answered the door put his foot on the threshold & then, when my wife tried to push the door shut, pushed it - and her - back into the hallway and stepped into the house claiming that he had gained peaceful entry. My wife called me to say what was happening, I dialled 999, explained what was happening & asked for the Police to attend - which they did very quickly. When I arrived at home ab
  8. Hi there, On the 23rd of May I stepped out of the shower and heard my letter box close, I ran to my bedroom window to see if I had missed a delivery and saw a man getting into his van. I thought it was odd as I can usually hear the doorbell, (i have a small child so i shower with the door open). I opened the window and asked if I had missed a delivery and he said no and got into his vehicle. on arriving downstairs I found a Final Notice from task enforcement for a traffic for London contravention. Now I do not wish to mislead you, I parked in the wrong place a
  9. I was awakened at 7am this morning by my 9 year old son saying that someone is trying to break down the front door. I ran downstairs and heard someone bashing the door, not knocking, hitting it as hard as they could. I opened the door and it was two people showing me id cards like they were some sort of law enforcement. It turned out the were two bailiffs from Task Enforcement. One of the bailiffs put his foot in my door. I asked him to remove his foot and he said he would not. I asked him again and he still refused to do it. I asked them the reason they were at my h
  10. Very useful information provided on this forum and from what I can gather I, or more specifically in this case my mother, has been overcharged thanks to bully tactics from the Task Enforcement bailiffs. I want to try and clarify some details that are specific to this situation so I can proceed in the best and most efficient manner. I was sent a PCN by Lambeth council for entering a bus lane whilst on my motorcycle. At the time I was unaware of the different access rules for motorbikes in bus lanes and after trying to challenge it then realised I was in the wrong and the fine had
  11. This case is quite unusual, but I am determined to make an example of the Bailiff, TASK Enforcement and TfL. They are all [deleted]!!! I am a very resourceful and determined person. I dont give up. I do not have a legal background, hence I am here to seeking advice and guidance so that I can hold these people accountable for their actions in a court room. My anger is not motivated by the loss of my money, but simply by the behavior of these [companies] who manipulate and [seek to obtain money from] people legally. My motivation comes from reading about thousands of people on this forum who ALL

  13. Can anyone tell me what is the difference between an ATR (which I think stands for Attend to Retrieve) and a visit? It seems to me to be the same thing although Task Enforcement Ltd want to charge me £175 plus VAT for an ATR and £63.14 plus VAT for a visit, both made at the same time.
