  1. Hopefully posted under correct thread. Purchased dining room table July 2015 and paid for in full. Delay in delivery item eventually arrived end of September 2015. March 2016, noticed table was faulty (movement) and when checked underneath there was visable damage to three leg joins. Took photo evidence and contacted retailer. April 2016 manager came to house to check product and confirmed under gaurantee. Said they would contact us within the week. Heard nothing so contacted them 2nd week in May 2016. Did not offer refund but said a replacement had been ordered. Told OH that not same table as been modified. Still no contact about replacement table so OH called them again and said that it will be delivered from 6-8 weeks. July 2016 called retailer again as heard nothing, confirmed that table ready to be delivered. Now due to the poor quality and customer service are we still entitled to a full refund or do we have to accept the replacement table ? Thank-you
  2. Hi. Back in June 2014 I purchased a table & Chairs set of ebay from Furniture Choice uk for £600. On Saturday when I was extending the dining table for the second time in two years, the tension wire snapped. This is causing the table to pretty much slide back and forth freely. I contacted Furniture Choice uk for some advice and they pretty much said to me they can't do anything for me as it's past the 12 month warranty period. Surely this can't be right. Is there anything I can go back to them with because I would of thought a £600 table should last longer then 23 months.. Any advice much appreciated. Link to the table I bought is below. h****P://w$£.furniturechoice.co.uk/Dining-Room-Furniture/Dining-Tables/Extending-Dining-Tables/Tokyo-White-High-Gloss-Extending-Dining-Table_250107.htm
  3. Good afternoon I am new to this so please forgive me, I recently got my credit report from Equifax and there was 3 trace inquiry's on there from village investigations, the 1st being in January the last one was the 31st of May, I was just curious as to weather anybody could shed any light on this issue as in is this common practice, Are they allowed to go into my credit profile without my permission? Bearing in mind I have not once received a letter of this company so I have got no idea why they are doing this, I would be very grateful for an insight or any info regarding this matter. Thanks for taking your time to read this Gary
  4. Hi, I spent over an hour looking through various posts on this subject and there doesn't appear to be a definitive answer as to whether lenders can see table 1 searches on Equifax credit reports which relate to 'outstanding debt'. I have a couple from earlier in the year - at previous addresses - though Robinson Way checked on my current address on the same date as an 'oustanding debt' footprint but it is classed as 'unclassified' and in table 2. Confusing. Anyway, my view is that the table 1 'oustanding debt' searches are not viewable to lenders. Even though I have a default registered by Lowell on my equifax report, I recently opened a first direct account and then a gold card for which they only searched Equifax. When they told me on the phone that they were going to do this I thought the application would be rejected but the advisor came back on and said they were "more than happy" about offering me a gold card with a £3k limit. Bearing in mind there are 5 outstanding table 1 footprints that first direct could have viewed, and with their rep for being very fussy about customers, I can only assume that these searches are not viewable - as Equifax says?
