  1. I wanted to share my story. I had my eyes tested in February with the intention of getting some varifocals fro all day use as I am both long and short sighted. When I went to pick them up at Specsavers in Stratford Mall East London I found that I had to turn my head a lot for lateral view and the reading sight was too low in the lens so I was looking at my nose to focus. The shop tried to tell me that I needed to get used to them however it was too extreme especially as I paid for the elite or tailor made lenses which cost me a lot more. They said I should try them out so I did but it did not change and in fact I got sore eyes after a short time. I went on back to get a refund and get a cheap reading pair and was persuaded to by two pairs for reading and distance. They call you sir and madam and convince you that the care and give you a false sense of security but they will do anything to take your money and as much as is possible. I complained to LLoyd's bank Credit card to recover and from the start they were dismissive. Losing my telephone complaint. Delays in reply and not considering statement properly. I am now going to stop my credit card and bank account out or principle.
  2. Hi, I brought a pair of glasses from specsavers later 2015, the offer at that time was 2 pairs for the price of one, one pair of which could be sunglasses. I had to have varifocal lenses and at the point of sale was offered to pay a lower price for the main glasses (as there were expensive) and not get the second pair offer, alternatively to pay a higher price for the main glasses and therefore qualify for the 2nd 'free' pair. I opted for the higher price to get sunglasses at a later date. In March 2016 I suffered a stroke and have been unwell since, however the last 4 or 5 weeks I have improved a lot and today went to specsavers to pick out the 2nd pair to be made into sunglasses. Specsavers now say that you only have 30 days after the main glasses have been fitted to order the second pair....I was not told this at the time and am wondering if this is somewhat unfair? Hopefully I can contest this in someway? Many thanks in advance for any responses. Swift640S
  3. I qualify for a NHS glassses voucher and specsavers sent me a £40 off glasses voucher with their catalogue. Does anyone know if I can use this specsavers voucher with my NHS free glasses voucher? It says 'cannot be used with other offers', but I would argue the NHS voucher is not a special offer. Has anyone had experience with this? Thanks
  4. This problem started since I moved into my new house in July 2013. Different people/organisation have sent letters to my address for former occupiers which is now stopping since I returned them to the postbox, but there is one which hasn't stopped. The problem is from Specsavers who have sending post at my address for a former occupier who used to live at my address and still is still persisting. I haven't opened these all letters as it is against the law. Overall, Specsavers sent around 7 letters to the same person and I have been sending it back to the postbox Other companies who have sent former people in my address have stopped sending me letters since I returned it to the post, but Specsavers have sent one again on Tuesday 10th February 2015. What should I do now, should I send a complaint letter to the customer services or the CEO of Specsavers?
  5. Hi Guys, I picked up replacement glasses a couple of weeks ago. They were replacements for ones that kept sliding off my face, lightweight ones, no bar across the top. I asked for the exact same type of lens as before, lightweight, coated with Reaction Lenses. Because of doing shift work, involving nights, I have just noticed that the reactions have not been included in the lenses. Before I start having a go at Specsavers, where do I stand with this? I'm looking at the receipt, and it doesn't say ''reactions'' anywhere on it. But I did state that to the three staff members I dealt with, that it had to be the same as before. Any suggestions guys?? Regards, Buncrana
