  2. Hi everyone I'm new here and need some advice. I applied to a store job on my own behalf which was advertised on the JobCentre website, when i clicked apply i was sent to the companies own applying system filled in all my details and sent them off. The next day I got a call from the company saying the store job had been advertised wrong and it was actually supposed to be a delivery job. She asked if i was still interested and I thought I may as well for the interview experience etc. Anyway I got invited to trial shift and although working along another delivery guy was good and I enjoyed working with him I thought that this definitely wasn't the job for me and kind of regretted applying in the first place. The delivery job would just me me on my own delivery and the hours were horrible plus I'd never done anything like this before. After the trial I had an interview and stupidly said that I enjoyed my day and she said she'd get back to me. I didn't want to say I hated the job but the day was nice because that's not how i am :\ I got a call later on that day asking if I'd like to work there unless of course I've had second thoughts and I said after thinking about it I've enjoyed my day and everything but it wasn't for me and store work was definitely what i would like to do. I said that I'd applied to the store job first but it had been advertised wrong. She was completely fine with it and said delivery is not for everyone and that she'd keep my details on file for any future applications she received from me. Now I'm really worried I might get a sanction for refusing the job. I never told the Jobcentre that I'd applied for the job because i'd found out it was advertised wrong and i was only really doing it for the experience. Do you think they'd find out and i'd be sanctioned? The job was advertised through the jobcentre site but once I clicked apply it sent me to apply via the companies site so the only way the jobcentre would know would be if the company contacted them or they contacted the company. The job doesn't come up in my application history either on the jobcentre website. I never actually told the jobcentre I went to the trial day or anything and it was a job i applied for initially on my own behalf. Obviously once I found it was advertised wrong i just thought it would be good interview experience. I've been on job seekers for 3 months and I have been actively seeking work everyday. So far I've had 3 interviews and I've applied to about 10 jobs. I should have never agreed to go to the trial day as i literally only went for the experience. If I get sanctioned I'd be really upset because I am really trying to find a job, I check for jobs each day and apply to those I feel are within my grasp. I'm really worried and don't know what to do Any help would be really appreciated.
