  1. Hi Everyone, Does anyone have any experience/advice regarding SAMS? My late father took one of these out in 1998 for the amount £16,875. I am in the process of selling the house to fund a care home for my mother and have contacted Barclay's to find out the settlement figure on this and am shocked to discover that this repayment is going to be between £90,000 - £110, 000! (am awaiting final figure) What I would like to know is if anyone knows of any cases where these have been challenged and won, as I am getting nowhere with my inquiries and really don't know what to do about
  2. Some of you may be pleased to learn that I will be leaving CAG at the end of the month (being tomorrow). This is mainly due to a "disagreement" with the admin of the site to my style of recent contribution to a thread in the public transport section. Basically I apparently broke forum rules and thus some of my posts were removed to which I took exception to and also to some comments made to me by certain site team members. Needless to say, I stand by my posts and the reasons I made them. Despite having behind the scenes discussions, the matter has not reached an amicable conclusion

It's the first time my roadster experiences the usual symptoms, lights going on and off, handbrake light going on/off whilst driving.... After doing a few research on the net, I was amazed by the amount of people experiencing leaks with their roadsters and especially ones that cause the SAM to go bust. I've even stumbled across a 60 pages long internal Smart procedure for fixing leaks on roadsters. Even though my roadster is 8 years old and has done 57,000 miles, I was not expecting the SAM unit to go so ea
  4. Mrs Sam wrote to Next Directory earlier this year and enquired about the possibility that she had been charged PPI on her account. The account is now closed. She received a letter back from them in May which stated that no PPI had been charged to the account. Mrs Sam was going to let it go at that. I advised her to send a SAR and we would review what came back. What did come back was pretty thin.A copy of a standard credit agreement, undated, unsigned and no mention of Mrs Sam anywhere to be seen and some basic statements from 2005 and 2006,without any evidence of what the charges related
