  1. I'm after a bit of help, I have slowly but surely sorted out my debts and most of the companies are playing fair and agreeing to my £1 per month payment offers.. ..however I have a problem with Freemans Catalogue, I have sent 2 letters to them explaining my circumstances have changed and offer of payment, both sent recorded delivery and as to date had nothing back of them except another default notice, in the default notice they say the £230 debt will be passed onto a dca which doesn't worry me just annoying they will not respond to any letters and this can be resolved... .all letters have been issued recorded and a cca has been applied for but nothing received and well past the 12+2 days have passed so what would you do next? Thanks all.
  2. Hi all again, I've been trying to arrange a repayment plan for my sisters credit card. I started by sending a "payment holiday request" on the 13/11/2014. They didn't reply to the letter but didn't ask for any money at all in the next two statements. On the 05/01/2015 I send a pro-rate offer letter to start the repayment negotiation. They signed for the letter on the 07/01/2015. My sister got a Default Notice dated 28/01/2015, their letter still didn't mention anything about are offer to repay. Are they allowed to do this? I guess since my sister hasn't been paying what she agreed to there isn't going to be a chance to get the default notice removed. But is it fair if they have blatantly ignored our offer? Could anyone give any advice on this? Thanks Andrew
  3. I have just received a court claim form from MBNA credit card sold to Arrow Global who passed to Restons Solicitors. The particulars of claim are: The Claimant claims payment of the overdue balance due from the Defendant under a contract between the Defendant and MBNA dated on 17/06/2004 and assigned to the Claimant on 20/12/2011 in the sum of £4,768.10 plus costs of £165 = new total of £4933.10 I cant work and cant pay as a single disabled mother. Can anyone please tell me how to go about defending the reply to the court and what action I must take?? I was making a monthly payment of £25 but just cant do it any more, last payment was in 2013. Thank You.
  4. Hello All, In August I called up seabreeze holidays and was quoted a price of £652.50 for an airline ticket to travel in September. They took a deposit of £52.50 from my credit card and the balance was to be paid in 2 weeks. The next day I received an invoice from them showing a ticket price of £677.50, the extra £25 being a booking fee which I was not told about by the agent who I had been speaking to. I sent them several emails requesting the original price to be honoured or my deposit to be returned. They did not reply to any emails and I eventually booked my ticket for less money with another travel company. I would like to fight for my deposit but I need to know what my options are. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks scara
