  1. Hi, I was wondering if someone could enlighten me on a first registration on a new car please. The car I opted for a couple of weeks ago has had to be factory built. The dealership estimated the delivery date of end of April, (would let me know mid-March when date of delivery would likely be). Fast forward to this week I get confirmation in an email that the car has been built (!) and is on its way to the dealership, and will be in touch in the next couple of weeks to arrange collection. Great stuff, but due to this would the car still be classed as the new 19 registration? If it's now ready and on its way can I still 'delay' the collection in a way that I have it at new registration? Sounds fickle I know, but I did want a 19 reg when I opted to buy (not a 68!). So I'm not sure how it works as I wasn't expecting the car until at least April time. Any advice would be appreciated! Many thanks
  2. Hi. Parked at a Southern railway rail station today and used the phone number to pay the daily charge . I had used it before but with a different car and the system recognised my phone number did a fast track to payment confirmation . I didn't spot that the registration number quoted by their system was not that of the car I was using today (lot of background noise in the car park). There was a penalty notice issued by Indigo when I returned. What are the chances of success if I appeal? I can prove that I own both cars and that the one for whom they issued the ticket was not there today (it's in a garage for repair). Any tips on how to phrase the appeal in such a case? Thanks
  3. Hi all, Just after some advise as this may be a bit different to other people cases. Today I received a Parking Eye "Parking Charge Notice". It's my car which my wife drove to take me to hospital, she paid using the Pay By Phone app, however she entered her cars registration by mistake. I worry she done this again the following day also! I've appealed and sent a copy of our proof (screenshot with incorrect registration on it) but now I'm wondering should I of come here first before quickly rushing into an appeal? 1 Date of the infringement - 13/09/2018 2 Date on the NTK [this must have been received within 14 days from the 'offence' date] - 27/09/2018 3 Date received - 01/10/2018 4 Does the NTK mention schedule 4 of The Protections of Freedoms Act 2012? [y/n?] NO 5 Is there any photographic evidence of the event? YES 6 Have you appealed? {y/n?] YES APPEAL - I have received a Parking Charge Notice for my car, which my wife was driving at the time taking me to hospital. We made payment using the Pay By Phone app, and once I received this letter have only realised that payment was made however it was made for our other car (*OTHER REG*) as my wife has often used her car to make payments as she has been to the hospital a lot recently (as I’m sure you can check by her registration). Unfortunately this has been a simple error and I attach proof that the payment was made and you'll be able to confirm this as her car *OTHER REG* did not enter the hospital car park on this day. Have you had a response? [Y/N?] NO 7 Who is the parking company? Parking EYE 8. Where exactly [carpark name and town] - Sunderland Royal Hospital
  4. I do hope I've posted this in the correct place as I'm new to the forum. Sorry for the long post but can anyone advise me if I have any comeback on the following: I have a domain name which was set up for auto renewal on 03/03/18 (2 years for £38.38). On 24/02/18 I received an email saying the payment had failed. On 25/02/18 I received a further reminder saying the renewal was overdue and I risked a disruption or loss of services. I checked my account and noticed that the credit card details they held were out of date so I updated my credit card details. On 27/02/18 I received another email stating my domain was overdue for renewal and I could always renewal manually, so I contacted 123 reg through their support centre advising them of the situation and stating that I didn’t understand why they hadn’t taken the payment from the new credit card details that I had entered as the domain is set up for automatic renewal. They replied as follows: “I would like to make you aware that the domains are renewed 7 days prior to expiry. The payment was attempted on 2018-02-24, however, it was declined by the bank. The system might try one more time, however, if the domain is not renewed until the 3rd, it would be best for you to manually renew it to avoid any unwanted interruptions.” I replied, advising them that I had taken their advice and manually renewed the payment, to which they replied: “Thank you for the prompt reply. I am happy to inform you that the domain has been renewed and the new expiry date is now 03/03/2020. It was only when I was recently completing my self-assessment form that I checked through my credit card statements and noticed the payment of £38.38 had been taken twice so I contacted 123 reg and asked for a refund of the duplicate payment. Several messages have been passed between us but to cut a long story short they are saying it’s not a duplicate payment but it just means that the domain has been renewed for 4 years because it was under auto renewal and I also renewed manually!! They say that they can’t refund any money because I chose to manually renew the domain name without waiting until 3 March. Also they say that because the invoice is 6 months old they can’t refund any money (my fault I know for not checking my CC statement sooner) . The only way they can issue a refund it for them to release the domain to the open market as Verisign do not allow partial refunds and keeping the domain so I would lose the domain and any money I’ve paid. They state it’s been more than 6 months since the payment was done and the Money Back Guarantee for the .com domains is 5 days including the renewal date and they can’t pass over the registry rules on this. It may just seem like a small amount of money but I’m really angry about this as no way did I intend paying for this domain twice and I was only following their advice by manually renewing so why did they then take the money again. I’ve asked this question but didn’t really get a satisfactory reply to that other than it’s “ the system”. Thanks Maureen
  5. As i understand it I can Voluntary Termination at any time but will be liable to 50% of the total agreement. I intend to VT my HP agreement however I am £93.00 away from 50%. If I send notification of VT on Monday along with a cheque for £93.00 would this be accepted?
  6. Good morning, I have recently received a parking charge notice from parking eye, to which I have appealed and provided proof of parking twice and they have rejected both times. Can you please help? please answer the following questions. 1 Date of the infringement 06/07/17 2 Date on the NTK [this must have been received within 14 days from the 'offence' date] 21/07/17 3 Date received 26/07/17 4 Does the NTK mention schedule 4 of The Protections of Freedoms Act 2012? [y/n?] Not that I can see (howver I am looking at a scanned copt at the moment could be on the rear will check later) 5 Is there any photographic evidence of the event? Yes 6 Have you appealed? {y/n?] post up you appeal] Yes. I am afraid I do not have a copy of my appeal but all I wrote was "Please see attached proof of parking, I accidentally enetered my old cars registration in error" The above is from memory so wording may be slightly different. I attached a copy of the parking ticket. Have you had a response? [Y/N?] post it up Please see attached Dated 01st & 23rd August. 7 Who is the parking company? Parking Eye 8. Where exactly [carpark name and town] Crown Wharf Shopping Park, Walsall car park For either option, does it say which appeals body they operate under. BPA If you have received any other correspondence, please mention it here. I received another parking charge notice, to which I appealed again the same as above then I received the below the attached dated 12th October 2017. Many thanks for your help and support. 23 August 2017.pdf 12 October 2017.pdf 01 August 2017.pdf
  7. I was wondering if you knew how the registration number is displayed on the parking ticket that you get from the machine & display in your window ? (Full Reg, Partial, etc) My mum initially received a letter, for the same car park, stating she didn't pay enough when we sent the evidence in they now claim she didn't enter her registration number correctly but haven't given us evidence. Her ticket only displays the last 3 digits & I wondered if that was correct or if it should show the full registration. Thanks for any help you might be able to give.

  9. Hi, My Clearscore report has just updated, the only change was one new protective registration has been added to my report, my score had not changed. In the protection section it gives a case ID and my address. It states NOT GRANTED 18th May 2017. Fraud Date: 25th May 2017, Case: Identity Fraud, Supplier: Callcredit PLC. I have no idea what this is about. I have googled it and that led me to the CIFAS website, but their site doesn't appear to have an explanation for what I am seeing on my report. Does anyone know what this is? Can it be seen by creditors if I apply for credit?
  10. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/nurse-walked-out-care-home-10166243 The Nurse was giving evidence at a Coroner's hearing into the the deaths of the 3 men. The tale told was quite shocking and I was surprised that the coroner reckons that neglect was not a contributory factor into their deaths !. I think I would rather go to Switzerland and take my own life than end up in a care home. I guess you cant tar them all with the same brush, but even those where residents pay very high fees are coming under scrutiny !
  11. Hi all, After transferring a private number plate off my old car and buying a new one, I waited till my V5C came for my new car. Goes online to try to transfer the private reg but comes up with error message "cannot transfer this number online". So use the online chat to speak to DVLA giving all the details and they say "vehicle does not meet the criteria for transferring number plate" and that this has been passed to the relevant department to see whether or not its possible.... Bizarre, so now having to wait a few weeks to learn the outcome...anybody had this before ?
  12. I qualified to become a driving intructor in 2012 and in Oct 2015 I gave my ADI badge back to the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) as I was no longer teaching due to being in a full time job. The DSA sent me a letter to confirm they received my ADI badge in Oct 2015 also confirmed they removed my name off the Driving Instructors Register. The DSA said in a letter I had ..."12 months from the date your name was removed from the ADI register on 30th Oct2015 to re-register without taking the driving instructor qualifying exams..." So in late Oct 2016 a few days before the 12 months was coming up, I sent in my application to the DSA to re-register, along with my card details for payment of £300. I also did a CRB check a few months before, which was required. The DSA received my application on the 27th Oct (The 12 months deadline was on the 30th, so they received it with 3 days left) I heard nothing for 2 weeks, then I received my application form back (stamped received 27th Oct 2016) and a letter saying my application was unfortunately being rejected because I had not made payment in the last 12 months (I was not teaching in the last 12 months - I had given my badge back and was off the register) as mentioned above. I called the DSA and was told I did not make payment within the 12 months deadline of wanting to re-register with my application form - I explained I sent my application within the 12 months deadline and my card details were on the form. I also explained I had a letter from the DSA from Oct 2015 telling me I had 12 months to re-apply from the date my name was removed off the register. I was told the ADI department was looking for my letter from Oct 2015 and would email me (which they did not) The next day I rang again and this time I again explained - I sent my application within the 12 months time period and wrote my card details on the application form. That my application was returned back to me stamped 'received 27th Oct 2106' - within the 12 month deadline. I was bluntly told my application was being rejected (even though I applied within the 12month period to re-register) because according to the the DSA 1. The DSA needed the 3 digit security number on the back of my card to take payment and they supposedly tried to ring me several times and my number was not working (I explained my number was working all the time and to ring me back to confirm it was working, but the person on the line said no). I explained I received no missed calls. 2. They said they sent me emails as well which I did not have in my inbox I was told bluntly I had to re-apply from scratch and do all the 3 driving instructor tests again and to re-qualify!! - I was feeling very angry because I did nothing wrong in my application and sent it in within 12 months. The DSA received my application on the 23rd Oct and the letter they sent me to say it was being rejected, was dated the 24th Oct, but it was sent out to me a via recorded delivery a whole 12 days later on the 4th Dec 2016 (why was my letter dated 24th Oct 2016 and then sent out to me on the 4th Dec 2016??) they wasted 12 days on purpose to send me the letter. The DSA received my application on 23rd Oct 2016, why did they not send me a letter telling me they needed the 3 digit security number from my card or why did they not send me a text message. The DSA received my application within 12 months and they should have sent me a letter to request my card details, if according to them my phone number was not working (which is a lie) I want to appeal the DSA decision on the basis of 1. I sent my application within 12 months of the deadline to re-register. 2. I need dates/times of the when the DSA called me and according to them my phone was not working (a down right lie) so I can get confirmation from my phone network provider to confirm my phone was working and they was no problem with the phone network - which would break the DSA false argument. 3. Why did not the DSA send me a letter to request the security number or try sending me a text message. 4. The DSA received my letter on the 27th Oct, (application form shows "received 27th Oct) - 3 days before the 12 month deadline. 5. Why did the DSA produce the rejection letter on the 24th Oct and take a whole 12 days to send it out to me on the 4th Dec via recorded delivery - they on purpose took 12 days to delay it being sent to me, so they could say I did not appeal within 14 days!! - thats how sneaky they are!! Please can you help me draft up a letter I need to send the DSA tommorow please
  13. I recently received a PCN ticket whilst parked in a council run car park in Aylesbury Now, I actually had purchased a ticket and was displaying it, it appears it had slipped down the windscreen slightly, but it was just about visible. Indeed see attached photos, you can see the ticket directly under where the warden stuck the PCN (circled in white) I was going to appeal on this basis, but I have also noticed a problem with the actual PCN. It appears the warden's printer must have been dodgy, as it;s only printed half the text on the ticket. Much of the wording is cut off on the right hand side, the end of the date is missing (the year!!) but most importantly the registration is incomplete! They have only shown the first four characters of the plate - indeed on the payment slip at the bottom there is no registration plate at all! See arrows on photo My question is, can I appeal on the basis of the number plate being incomplete, or should I stick to the fact I had a ticket anyway! I feel rather aggrieved that he ticketed me so absolutely do not want to pay this! Many thanks for any assistance you might be able to give Photos showing ticket in place, assume the warden knocked my ticket down when he stuck the PCN on the windscreen! Incomplete print on actual ticket Here's the actual ticket I had bought and was displaying
  14. Do you RENT your home, If so, then you will know that good landlords are very very hard to find, Getting a repair done can be very difficult, or have you rented from a landlord who would suit the name slumlord more. There is currently no compulsory registration scheme for landlords or letting agents, I am petitioning the government to sort this out, Compulsory registration will help improve the industry, keep tenants safe from rogue landlords, and improve the quality of properties for rent. Please click the LINK below and sign this petition, You never know, it may help to improve your housing situation Tenants have to go through extensive vetting systems!! but what do landlords have to do, nothing, how do you know that your deposit is safe. This system i propose will ensure all landlords are solvent, mortgages are up to date, deposits are securely held, AND that Letting agents and landlords alike act in a responsible manor, This is something that has been over looked for too long, So help weed the crooks out of the system Please sign the petition below, all you have to do is follow the link. Please note, simply LIKING this post will have no input, you MUST click the link below please share this post http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/69580
  15. Hi, New on here - great site. Have read many threads on incorrect registration numbers captured to PCN that attached to vehicle. In my case the reg quotes number zero (e.g. 07) as letter O (e.g. O7). Discovered the error when logging onto the parking firms website and entered the ticket Id and my registration (correctly) and my issued ticket was not found. Looked closer and realised the number to letter error, typed incorrect registration and ticket was found on their system - of course proceeded no further!! Many threads on this site simply state ignore, cant find me as not registered keeper of vehicle of the incorrect recorded registration number. Again noted photographic evidence is not valid etc. I'm sure I know what the response will be - other similar cases have been discrepancies between 'X's' and 'K's'. Appreciate if anyone has seen similar instance to this. Many Thanks
  16. A question i have had in my mind for ages, but i have not found a conclusive answer. There are huge numbers of people who own vehicles but do not have a fixed address. My understanding is that DVLA require a UK address for all UK registered vehicles. This is so the registered keeper can be contacted. How do people manage to own vehicles, but not have fixed addresses ? They must give an address for vehicles registrations and Insurances. Now that you can pay road tax online and do so much online, it may be easier for people to own vehicles, but not to have fixed addresses. This could make it much more difficult to trace people related to accident claims, speeding and other motoring offences.
  17. Hi, Apologies I am sure this has been covered before but I couldn't find one exactly the same:- I parked my car at NCP Cardiff Central Station, I parked correctly in a space, I paid £9.30 for 1 day and I paid for the correct vehicle registration number online and I have a receipt. When I returned to the car there was a little yellow package waiting for me, the Parking Charge Notice (PCN) states that registration number *X** *** was Code B3 parked without clearly displaying the required valid pay and display ticket and no other cashless parking payments detected. My registration number is *K** ***, the photo's they have taken are of my car with the correct registration number. I have a couple of questions:- I assume that the PCN is not valid because the reg is wrong is this correct? Should I do anything now or wait and see if I get a NTK? They cannot trace me through the reg on the PCN but they can through the pictures. should I challenge now? Basically any advise or experience you have would be appreciated. AS
  18. I attended Comer Business And Innovation Centre at North London Business Park managed by Secure A Space Ltd on the 19th of March 2015. On my arrival I attended the facility reception area where the lady on reception instructed and guided me to park in one of parking spaces available which was marked "Staff" and following on instruction given I Parked my car. I was even given a Visitor Parking Permit that I clearly displayed in the Windscreen After finishing and attending my car I realised my had parking ticket The Vehicle Registration on the PCN issued is incorrect however make, model and colour of the car is correct. I appealed this without mentioning my Car Registration on the basis that I parked based on instruction provided by receptionist and that she could be contacted if needed. However my appeal got rejected and I was given option to challenge it with POPLA. I want to ask very Important question: 1) Is this a valid PCN if it has INCORRECT VEHICLE REGISTRATION NUMBER? 2) Can it be enforced if I choose to ignore it? Any help would be highly appreciated
  19. Hello friends, My pension fund administrator took a long time due to their system being dis-functional (over thirty days, when it should have been just two days) to register my account and make status of my pension fund available on-line. My pension fund pot is around £25000.00. I really had to continuously call and chase them to fix my problem. Is there any legislation that entitles me to compensation for keeping me deprived of being able to view my pension fund on-line? Thanks
  20. I have received a 'fine' for a car park I have never been in. Thats one thing. But more importantly does anyone have any idea how they have targeted me? Even if they are using the registration of my car, how the hell have they got access to my private information from the DVLA. Is it legal?
  21. Hi I have a CCJ registered against my ltd company, and I want to appeal the 'set aside' decision which went against us, and still can if I act quickly. If I did pay the the amount disputed would the CCJ be removed as it still open to appeal or would the CCJ remain. I hope that it makes sense and I am grateful for all info and advice. JP
  22. If anyone has experience of this I would love your thoughts. I received a ECN from Excel Parking with a mistake in the car reg. I have ignored the first Notice to Owner to pay (I don't know how they found me with the wrong reg number written down). I now have a 'copy' of a court summons for a Magistrates' court (it's a photocopy or a scan or something and looks suspiciously similar to the other correspondence I've had from Excel, rather than from a court). How should I proceed? Do i have a case due to their mistake on the original ticket?
  23. Hi, I received a Fixed penalty notice for shoplifting in August and paid the fine the next day. The policeman at the time scribbled out the printed £80 on the Metropolitan Police Service Penalty Notice and said "it had gone up to £90" which he then wrote next to it. I tried paying over the phone but for some reason kept being told to try again later and the call dropping, so I paid online where there was no option to change the £80 to £90. I started receiving letters from Loss Prevention Ltd for £147 which I have ignored on the advice from this forum but today received a Notice of Registration of fixed penalty and collection order from London South East and Central Courts for £135. I am obviously willing to pay the £135 fine to make this all go away (considering the policeman said paying the original FPN would be the end of it unless I did something again) but I'm worried I will continue to receive letters from Loss prevention ltd. threatening me for more than what the court wants... I just want to know whether anyone has had a similar case and why I received this notice from the courts. I did read somewhere amongst my research that it may have been because the OP didn't pay the first Fixed penalty notice, which is making me wonder whether because I couldn't pay £90 they believe I haven't paid anything! Please help?
  24. The night before last, for no particular reason,I typed my name into Google. I was perturbed by the fact one of the results returned was on a website named checkSURE.biz, which appeared to list me as a company director, along with my address. I have contacted checkSURE to find out what is going on.I have never, ever been a director, much less run a business from my flat! As I understand it,this can be one of the steps in Identity Theft, and fraudsters can basically register anyones name and address to run up business debts or similar nefarious activities. I have also contacted Companies House to ascertain whether a company has been registered for real.At the moment,I am considering the possibility that checkSURE have simply created a speculative entry,so I'll pay the nine quid for this company report.I'm not completely naive, but nor do I want to get hysterical Following advice gleaned on the web,I've set up an Experien account, but it will take 5 days for the PIN to arrive. I have not contacted the police. I wondered if anyone here might have some experience with this particular issue.According to the David Icke forums,a shedload of MPs are seemingly registered as companies by checkSURE,yet there's no entry at Companies House. Neither checkSURE nor Companies house have replied to my emails as yet. I apologise for rambling, but this has blindsided me slightly. Edited to add: I just ran the free web check at companies house using the company number and no such company was found. Update: I just got an email from checksure saying they will investigate and if what I say is true, they will remove the listing.
