  1. I attended a evening wedding reception at the HOLIDAY INN SOUTHAMPTON. I drove around the car park twice but didn't see any signage about parking fees. I parked my car and went in through the side door of the hotel which was hired out for the wedding party and guests. I was very upset and shocked yesterday to receive a parking fine for £60 through the post. I telephoned the HOLIDAY INN straight up and explained I was a guest to the wedding of ?? and ??, on the 14 July but she said there was nothing she could do. Do I just pay it and not have a leg to stand on?
  2. It was reported in the press last week that Freeview was experiencing signal problems due to adverse weather conditions. Around this time we were losing reception on BBC1 or ItV for several seconds or more. The freeview advice was not to retune the tv and once these specific weather conditions cleared, reception would be back to normal. We're still getting signal drop out. Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same?
  3. Our daughter got married and had her reception at our local golf club. The venue seemed perfect until the actual day. The photographs at the venue where restricted due to the golf. What and where we could have photos taken was not allowed on the day. We had 26 children on a very hot day banned from leaving the venue as they may upset the golfers. None of this was told us at any meetings. When the food was served they served the back tables and the top table the last. The pate was a sloppy mess The food was cold - the roast beef was dry and the turkey was chewy.
  4. I've just had an email about the new pet reception building that opened this week. Hopefully this is good news for anyone travelling with their pet, because the old building was pretty small and the dogs were quite close to each other. Cats looked particularly unhappy to see a bunch of dogs in there and should like the drive-through facility. We crossed on a bitterly cold winter's day and there was nowhere to sit with your dog, just the car. If you have to wait for your crossing, it can be very uncomfortable for all concerned. It's not clear if they have any refreshments for p
  5. Travelodge Halesowen have recently employed the services of one of the Cowboys.. .. this is the notice on Reception desk, next to the keypad to tap on your car registration plate. There is signage in the car park, it's now a 1 hour limit as there's a KFC, Off Licence & Greggs under the Travelodge, no ANPR cameras (only Security CCTV which has been there since the hotel was built), so must rely on a drive-by check. Car Park signage is quite small, and high up on the lamp-posts so not overly readable or even noticeable, especially if you arrive at night. And
  6. As 4G is being rolled out in parts of York on the 3 network, which I have found is fast. What are the experiences of other members in other towns/cities regarding 4G. Below, are 3 ping tests that I have done over 2 days. 10/04/14. PING..54ms UPLOAD..5.41 Mbps DOWNLOAD..31.35 Mbps 11/04/14. PING..49ms UPLOAD..1.75Mbps DOWNLOAD..18.48 Mbps 11/04/14 PING..64ms UPLOAD..8.5Mbps DOWNLOAD..36.12 Mbps But the trouble is,that I am still getting 3G at home, which is about 2 miles from city centre. So,any day soon I should get it. Regards,John.
  7. Good Morning, I hope someone can help. We recently Married, and had booked a very expensive Manor Hotel for our Wedding Breakfast for 63 people. There were several meetings prior to the Wedding, and the Menu's were distributed to all guests, and choices made well in advance. The venue was stunning, however the Breakfast was thoroughly disappointing. The service was appalling (the top table had finished their courses before the last table had been served), This will sound bad mannered but the food was only warm when it arrived, and on cold plates so if we had not starte
  8. I took out a 24 month contract this time last year. I moved into my new house a couple of months ago and most of the time there is no signal whatsoever. I have to go up into the attic just to get one bar, and even that fluctuates. There is also no signal at my parent's house. What are my rights? Am I able to end the contract early? Thanks.
  9. My reception keeps dropping out while I am making calls. I have had similar problems before and the provider said that they have no records of any problems in my area so there is nothing they can do. Firstly, How can I gather irrefutable evidence that my reception is dropping out? Thanks.
