  1. Hi I'm looking into this for a friend. Approx 2 years ago my friend (we'll call her Lucy) let her husband (we'll call him Gru) use her credit card to do a minor balance transfer. Within a couple of months he had used the credit card (without her knowledge) to rack up £10k worth of debt on professional camera and toy helicopter equipment. She found out, he apologized, he promised to pay it back, he was forgiven. Hence it wasn't reported. Fast forward another two months and it was upto £13k. Again, for reason above it wasn't reported. They are no longer together and he's made no attempt to pay it back. It's defaulted on her credit file. While she still doesn't want to get him into trouble it's affecting her ability to get a mortgage. Can this be reported as fraud two years down the line? Reported to a body or to the fraud department of the card issuer? Would this clear the entry from her credit file or would it be just as well to put a note on the credit file? How much trouble will Gru get into? As for proof of who made the transactions we believe the card was registered on his paypal account. Thanks, Kristian
  2. Can anybody explain what might have occured? Is the seller a shady Sam who hasn't disclosed this information? Is the HPI input wrong? 27th February 2014 - Registration Of Bike. 25th December 2013 - Written Off, Cat C.
  3. yesterday, I spent most of the evening driving around to catch more info about the guy and filing a police report I got hit by a lorry... he drove off.. i followed and parked in front of him alerting him he had hit me. . he pulled over, started to get aggressive, wouldnt exchange details, swore a lot and so i backed off for my own safety. I took a photo of his truck and my damage and went to the police. I filed the report - but they will only help if the insurance company need the info - the damage isnt worth my excess I have the drivers partial reg, the company details name and address of the company. Can i send them an invoice stating it would be quicker than going to court? At the end of the day he hit and drove off... in a company lorry, which is silly because I can always track them down. They're scaffolding people working on the building a lane before where i got hit
  4. Im in need of some advice. My neighbour upstairs must have got a contract, i think sim only, but i could be wrong. They got it, using my flat number, not hers. I asked her twice, each month a bill came, to change her details with o2, then ive heard nothing since end of August so i assumed she had done. Today I got a reminder in her name, to my address claiming she owes £104 and they blocked her from making calls and texts. Ive been in touch with o2, who claim they have emailed her to update her details but im not confident she will do so. What can I do? O2 assure me me or my address wont be affected, but if she runs up debt in my address then surely it will be linked to me on my credit file somewhere and im want to buy a house middle of 2015.
