  1. Hi Pleae find atttached a letter from Capital One in reply to my PPI claim. After a SARN I sent claim for miss selling. They said they would look into it and it would taks 8 weeks. I replied saying no way Ivew been cheated and gave them 14 days notice with a letter before action. The lfirst part of the etter below sumarises the reason for my claim. They say I agreed to sign up over the telephone and was sent a policy and a 30 day cooling off period . I do not remember any of that. In fact in reply to my original SARN they said they did not have to send any info about my PPI because it did not come under the DPA. I know I should have followed that up. Because if they sent me a letter confirming my agreement to PPI then that should have been sent. The funny thing is the letter below says they include a copy of the policy document, Guess what? No policy document. lol I stand by my original assertion that I did not need PPI due to my secure circumstances and so would not have agreed to buying it. I would like some advice on how to proceed please. My 14 day LBA has now expired and I am tempted to call their bluff. However to start a claim would cost me at least £100 and I would like some reasurance I am on firm footing with this. Regards Missy
  2. Have been meaning to check this out for ages, so here goes. How do you know if you've been mis-sold PPI? I took a loan out ages ago which was paid off (via re-mortgaging). I don't have the original contract or anything so unable to check
  3. Hi. I am hoping someone will be able to help me. I contacted GE Money a couple of weeks ago by phone on 01626 492367 only to be told that they can not find my account details regarding a loan I took out a number of years ago. They told me to send them a letter. I sent them the name, address and account number and photo copies of the loan agreement and all the details. They have replied to me today asking for the reason why I took the loan out??? They have everything they need, they tell me and I quote "Unfortunately we have not been able to trace this customers account". They also only give a fax number as a way to communicate with them, no email, telephone etc. Are they hoping that I will forget about it as they are making it difficult to get in touch with them? Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

  5. I have the statements for a Morgan Stanley Dean Witter credit card from 2003 - 2007. Each month shows they took out three separate amounts for PPI and three separate amounts for interest. I have checked with Morgan Stanley and they say Barclay's are now responsible for the account. What is the best way to get this account sorted out, claim the PPI and the overcharged interest? Which claim forms should I use? Any help would be appreciated.
