  1. Hi folks. on here so looking for advise re paypal. My son has been sent letter from Arvato saying he owes paypal over £1000 He has never had a paypal account but thinks an old girlfriend may have gained access to his bank etc. Paypal have refused his appeal and wont discuss anything because he doesn't have the right email to gain access to account. Obviously he doesn't have email as he didnt set up account!!. They have also said they wont close account. We closed his bank account a year ago as soon as he noticed things weren't right. How can we get them to assure us that there is no account in his name? And how do we deal with the debt agency? We asked for details of debt but again they said that without email address they wouldn't discuss anything and that he should just pay up!! Advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
