About Me

  1. I live in Ingress Park, Greenhithe. Back in February, I came back late at night to find a car parked in my allocated bay. This is not the first time it happened. I took photos for proof. and parked temporarily in a Visitor Bay. In the morning I had a ticket (as I hadn't been able to find a visitor permit and there is no out of hour number to call) I assumed it would be fairly simple to get this sorted , and possibly even send a warning note to the owner of the car in my bay. How wrong I was - PCM refuse to back down. Ingess Park management didn't really help much. I've been keeping a quiet record of other misuses since, including cars without permits continually parked in a disabled bay. In fact , I have an email on record that PCM decided not to check the disable bay. I have been through all the various nice letters. Now I get threatened with court action. To me, I have a reasonable counter claim, which is that PCM / Ingress Park failed to adequately enforce parking restrictions on the allocated bays, so those in the know simply park in them with impunity. Any thoughts? Do I have a good case? If I lose, will my credit rating be screwed for years?
  2. Ok this is the 2nd time in about 6 months I was issued a ticket for parking around the Howe Dell school perimeter while collecting my 4 year old son. The first time I appealed on their rather limited website and after typing so much found there was nowhere to attach my photographic evidence. This time I'm furious and also caught the operative (same guy as before) issuing the ticket. In no uncertain terms I told him what I thought of his tactics and from witnesses the first time around. he appears from nowhere in his stupid little black smart car and picks on isolated vehicles as he's not brave enough to issue tickets to another 20 or so mums causing the same alleged offence as me. For ref he is operative PM011. He then disappears as fast as he appeared as if by magic. This time I am going to write in and enclose photo evidence. My grounds for appeal will be that the sign is a fair distance away at diagonal to my car which also places the sign across the road. The angle makes the sign which is also high up on the post difficult to observe at almost sideways and it is also camouflaged against the white painted flats. The first time I was caught out I was at the beginning of the road adjacent to the school and the sign was at the end of that road possibly more than 15 metres and obscured by a white van. I kept that photo evidence also so may ask to be re-imbursed. I'm on a mission now. It is completely unacceptable that a parent has to make a choice of school because of this company which is what I have now done. After September I will be taking my son to another school when he is perfectly happy where he is. It's about time the law was changed. Everyone knows what this is all about and it has to stop. If anyone can advise further please do. Either way I have no intention of paying up whether I am successful:-x in my appeal or not . I think I read somewhere last time when researching that PCM have yet to bring a successful prosecution to anyone not paying.
