  1. I moved into my new flat in June 2015. I called up the TV License people to say I don't need one, which they said is fine, and I just need to call up every 2 years to remind them. I know it's BS and I don't even need to call them, but I thought I would anyway to see what happens. I've now got a generic letter with "Unlicensed property" in bold across the top, and a threat to pay up before 6th of Jan 2016 or they will pass my address to "Bromley Enforcement Division" for "investigation". The letter even says if I don't need one, then to let them know, and they will send someone to check. Why should I have to notify them a second time within 6 months?
  2. Hi everyone, This is my first post here and I wish I had found you earlier. I need some help; I have tried to sue my collage/university: Name: Grimsby institute of F and HE Course: FD Applied Computing with Multimedia Tech Length of course: foundation plus 2 years Years of studies: 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13 and 2013/14 Why: unfair timescale of notifying Student Finance England (SFE) Last day of attendance: 14th January 2014 SFE notification: 15th April 2014 Court of own motion order: Failing to identify a cause of action in law And failing to identity why the principle should have personal liability (my intention was to sue the college) Can some one help me please and what other info do you need?
  3. Hi Just had to change bank accounts and was rather suprised that I had to notify both departments of the change of account details I expected to only make one call to change my details has any one else had this
  4. My good friend has been chased by numerous DCA's over the last 5 years for 2 credit card debts. One for £1,000 and the other for nearly £4,000. Due to the inefficiencies and disorganised nature of the DCA's we've managed to keep them all at bay and they've now all been quiet for the last 3 months. My friend is now wanting to move house but we're worried the DCA's could issue county court proceedings to her current address and she won't know about it until it's too late. Should we notify DCA's she's moving or just keep quiet? We're very conscious the debts will become SB in approximately 6 months so don't want to miss any correspondence this late in the game,
  5. Ethical issues aside, am I legally required to notify the companies I owe money to when I move address? No court orders have been made against me - I am referring to credit card debt that is being dealt with by a debt collection company. Thanks, Jeff
  6. I have recently satisfied a CCJ I had against me, and the claimant sent me a letter for me to send to the court to notify them of the change. I have no idea where this is supposed to be sent, and I was under the impression it was for the claimaint to notify the court, not me? I'm a little confused so if anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated.
