Later this month, the long awaited Mersey Gateway will open to the public. The Mersey Gateway and the Silver Jubilee Bridges will both be tolled. The tolling system is called Merseyflow and will be operated by Emovis who operate the Dartford Crossing. In the same way as the Dartford Crossing, if payment of the toll is not paid by midnight the day after the crossing a Penalty Charge Notice will be issued for the amount of £40 (plus the unpaid toll fee). This sum will be reduced to a discounted rate of £20 if paid within the first 14 days of being issued. If the Penalty Charge Notice has still not been paid after this 28-day period, then the fee that must be paid is increased to £60 if it is paid within the following 14 days. If the Penalty remains unpaid beyond this 42-day period, then the penalty will be registered as a civil debt and if unpaid after another 36 days, recovery action will begin. In the same way as the public can open a Dart Charge account, motorists using the Mersey Gateway will need to open a Merseyflow account. Their website is below https://www.merseyflow.co.uk

Hello there, new poster. I shall get straight to the point, my son received a railways fine on April 10th 2013 of £18.40 inclusive of VAT. letter was addressed to me. I paid the fine on 14th May well in time before any action should be taken, and have the receipt to prove this. Yesterday I received a letter from Warham collections team asking for the outstanding balance of £58.44 how can they ask for such amount of money when the fine was paid in due time. "YOU NOW HAVE SEVEN DAYS TO PAY IN FULL" Well I laughed at first, then I thought maybe because I have paid the fine in full, well before the alloted time "I can sue for stress" can I? They categorically state I have failed to pay this fine, when it's utter tripe of course. I have photocopied the payment receipt, and will send it to the debt recovery agents tomorrow. I am looking forwards to getting some kind of compensation of them, one thing I wondered, shall I let these silly beggars keep on running up a bill for me, just so I can be a bit of a smart Alec

RE New Mersey Retail Park As at today's date the presumed Landlord / Lessee website states the following :- PER newmerseyshoppingpark.com store _directory category SAT 15 DEC 2012 "Store Directory Category New Mersey Shopping Park has nearly 2,000 parking spaces - all of which are absolutely FREE!" The word ABSOLUTELY is of interest ! This surely negates all UKCPS "Parking Charge Notices". All such "charges" made for infractions must be Penalties. I am assuming that "New Mersey Shopping Park" is the trading guise of The Hercules Unit Trust and/or British Land, the ultimate Land owners, Landlords. I will be interested if anyone has an opinion on this. CORRECTION TO NAME New Mersey SHOPPING Park ADDL Ownership per BRITISH LAND website The Speke Unit Trust (The Hercules Unit Trust and Bank of Ireland) ADDL Hercules Unit Trust sells 50% interest in Speke Unit Trust June 2007 Jones Day advised Hercules Unit Trust in the £209 million ($412.5 million) sale of a 50% interest in Speke Unit Trust to Bank of Ireland Private Banking Limited. The Speke Unit Trust owns New Mersey Shopping Park, located in Speke, Liverpool, the seventh largest retail park in the U.K.
