  1. Hi all I thought I would share this, I moved into my property 2 1/2 years ago, The property had storage heaters originally, so was on a Dual meter (night and Day) Now by I have had gas central heating since I have been here, Dual meters are only good for your pocket if 60% of the electric is used on the night side of the meter, I queried this and asked it to be changed as there was just over 5p per KW difference. Look's like I have just save about £400, as the company are now back dating the account with the lower rate, Worth looking into. Leakie
  2. Hi, I wonder if someone could possibly help me with a couple of queries I have. Hi, My husband and I currently have a DMP with CCCS which we have had since May 2010. When we first started the DMP, I also had a Littlewoods account but I didn't include it with the rest of my creditors as it didn't have much on it and I thought I would pay if off before the DMP started. Unfortunately we needed to use it for some household appliances which broke and we hoped to pay if off with my husband's commission, however, he hasn't received as much as we expected. The account has now increased to the point now where I can no longer afford the monthly payments. I have been burying my head in the sand a bit about it but I now need to do something about it. I have emailed CCCS to see if they are going to cancel my DMP or if they are willing to help me but in the meantime, I wanted to find out how I can go about managing my own DMP if they cancel. - All my creditors have accepted my DMP so I don't think it would be difficult now to manage it on my own. I'm not sure, however, how I would add the Littlewoods debt to it? Do I send them a letter saying I can't afford the monthly payment and offer them a reduced amount? Do I have to tell Littlewoods that I have been in a DMP for the last few years? Do I have to tell the other creditors about it? Any advice would be much appreciated.
  3. Upon subscribing to Experian I was dismayed to find NatWest had recorded a default notice for £3,533 on 28 Feb 2011 in respect of a former overdraft arrangement (I had been unemployed for two years, hence this and other problems). I also owe NatWest money on a former loan. At the same time I have been in a repayment agreement for the past few years: first with NatWest directly, then Triton, now Shoosmiths. I have letters confirming I am up to date. The two account numbers - overdraft and loan - are highlighted on the chase-up letters I have received from each chaser over the past two years. However not one penny has ever been applied to the "default" overdraft figure? All my repayments are going towards the loan it seems. I then started making additional, separate payments directly to NatWest specifically quoting the above "default" overdraft account details; but this money too has been diverted away to the loan account. Anyone searching Experian will assume I just walked away from the overdraft; that I am not in a repayment agreement; and have not made any payments since it was recorded. I have written to both NatWest and Shoosmiths asking why none of my payments over the past 18 months have been credited to this account despite all the NatWest, Triton and now Shoosmiths paperwork quoting this account number? But they will not reply. I have also never been sent a proper statement: opening balance, plus interest, less repayments, closing balance. Again they will not reply although I believe this is a requirement of the Consumer Credit and possibly other Acts? In other words, this continuing situation is painting us - and our credit rating - in the worst possible light. As you can imagine this is causing us maximum stress (perhaps that's the idea?). What should I do??? Thanks. Pete.
