  1. Hello, I'm a Newbie here and hope somebody can Advise I took out a car insurance policy with LV just recently which was paid for fully and 2/3 weeks later they sent a letter from their POLICY AUTHENTICATION TEAM requesting copies of my driving licence and V5 which I e-mailed photos of to them. They sent me a letter a week or so later saying I owed them short of £27 due to my car having been "aqquired" in 2007 (The date in the V5- I've not noticed this till now but the date aqquired is incorrect - I did a change of address in 2008 and there may have been a clerical error then). On top of that they want to charge a £15 admin fee. I've told them i haven't requested a change so they can't charge me for something i haven't asked for but they are insistent on it to the extent that they are saying they will cancel my policy!!! The confusing part is that The letter states £26.x pence but on the phone they are stating £41.x pence which seems "Illegal" Could somebody please advise if they can or are allowed to do this. What has the date of when I purchased a vehicle 7/8 years ago got to do with my car policy/risk now????? i can understand if it was a year or two ago but 7/8 years ago????? My gripe with them is that they asked on their website when I purchased the vehicle to which I answered in 2006 and they are saying I'm lying yet i've sent them proof of that and they are saying they won't accept my proof - See below. I purchased my car in May/June of 2006 and still have a copy of my Bank statement showing the Bank transfer to my uncle who bought the car for me. I used the vehicle registration as part of the payment reference on the bank transfer. So I've sent them a copy of this yet they are saying that "They can only go off the V5". Much appreciated for any guidance and help
