  2. Hi all, I am hoping someone can advise me of the likely outcome of this situation that I find myself in. My car was recently hit by our local recycling firm causing some damage to the bodywork - car itself is ok. No note was left by the driver, although he apparently got out and had a look at the damage before driving off! A note was left by an independent witness however. I have contacted the company in question and they have moved quite quickly so far. Called them on Monday, they came and viewed car on Wednesday and then called me on Friday to say their insurers would be
  3. I turned down a side road to get near my local supermarket, (its the only way to get to the entrance) but a lorry was parked up, i thought it was making a delivery so i gave a good 15 mins for driver to come out and move. But nothing, then i call the shop as it was up the road, to ask the to ask the driver how long he will be as at this point there was 4 cars behind me and it was causing traffic on the main street, the lorry was already parked up on the pavement and out of the loading bay due to the width, then a guy who had been hanging around the truck appeared telling me the truck had

  5. Hi all, i am new on here just need some advice please. I took an 18 ton lorry down a 7.5 ton limit and got caught, this was on 25th jan 2013. Have got court date of 20th august 2013. This is 7 months, i have been told they only have 6 months to get you into court is this correct. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  6. Hi guys Appreciate comments based upon experience as well as the law on this issue To my utter disappointment the lorry driver involved in the accident is no longer standing by comments made at the time of the accident. They are claiming I went into their vehicle. My insurers are pushing to settle 50/50 which makes me angry. The facts: As both vehicles approached the roundabout, the lorry in the left hand lane and my car in the right and both heading straight ahead, the lorry started to move into my lane, so I quickly put my brakes on, moving as close as possible to the ro
