  1. I bought an item on Ebay, which the seller claimed had only been used 1 time and was in excellent condition, the only reason why i bought the item. The item arrived damaged, i requested a return as item not as decribed and arrived damaged. Seller refused to accept a return, instead she blamed me for the damage, saying i had caused the damaged and had swapped item and the pictures I had shown of the damage were fake. Seller claimed she has a witness who saw her send the item in mint condition, but i told her it arrived damaged with a dent/chipped, with scratches etc and obviously not used the 1 time as seller claimed. Anway the seller then made a threat take me to smalls court (when she had my money and sent me a damaged item) and is still refusing to take the item back and still blaming me and now claims she can get a witness statement to say she sent the item in mint condition - if thats the case as seller claims, why it did arrived damaged!! In the email exchange with the seller, she is trying to make herself look the victim in all of this. The item is of over £250 Raised return request on Ebay, but seller is blaming me for the damage, how crazy is that, she sent an item not as described, anway time to escalate to Ebay and get Ebay involved because the seller is not admitting the item i received is damaged, even after showing pictures and still blaming me, what do I tell Ebay when I escalate item not as decribed, arrived damaged, seller not accepting responsibility, blaming me for the damage? As for the sellers witness statement to say she sent the item in mint condition, that doesn't count because my pictures show the damage, please please help
  2. 3 Months ago I ordered 2 backpacks , wont say from whom as its not their fault although they refuse to take any responsibility for the rubbish courier they use. Had been working away from home for a week and came home to find a ticket from Myhermes saying parcel in wheelie bin ( a practice frowned upon by every other courier I use) well no parcel in bin , either stolen or the bin man just got an early xmas pressie , after 3 months , ( yes I was informed that Myhermes would take 90 days to investigate) I received an e-mail today saying I had left a note on the door telling the driver to leave it in the bin. difficult since 1) I did not know what day it was getting delivered , 2) I was away from home so could not have left a note,And as far as they are concerned that's it end of story , they do not seem interested in my side. the true side of the story, no goods , no refund (as seller believes that it was delivered) Anyone any ideas as what should be my next move. Worst courier service ever , customer service does not exist , DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTSNCES USE THIS COMPANY
  3. So a really long story but here is the shortened version, yesterday was my last day at my former employer, when I resigned from my position I had told them I was resigning on the basis of lack of support and ill health (the job was making me very stressed, depressed and I had anxiety attacks). I did not go into details about my health problems I was vague about my reasons. On my resignation I informed them I did not have another job to go to. About two weeks later I got called by a recruitment agency to say there was a great opportunity at a good firm and they would like to interview. I was still working my notice period, and took the time off as annual leave to attend the first and second interview. I was offered the job and accepted. I at this point did not think it necessary to tell my employer because I had already handed in my notice and was simply working my notice period. The company that offered me the job then wrote to employer asking for references. I got called into the meeting room and she basically called me a liar and told be I had been dishonest about my reasons for leaving, she even brought up the fact I was a christian and I had lied. I explained to her at the time of resigning my reasons were the truth and the job offer was unexpected and after I resigned. I have to repay my study fees and I last week asked if I could repay these over a 4 month period which she agreed to, in the meeting yesterday she told me that agreement was null and void and she expected all her money on her desk on monday and said that even at the point of agreeing the repayment of my fees I did not tell them. She kept calling me a liar and told me that she could report me to the regulatory body for the financial services for dishonesty and I could be struck off and not be able to practice. She then asked me to leave her office which I did went upstairs to another meeting room and spoke to a colleague as I was upset about the whole situation, she came in and told me to leave the premises. I picked up my stuff and left. What I would like to know, was I in the wrong for not telling them about the job? Bearing in mind, I received the invitation to interview after I resigned and therefore accepting the job offer after. does it make me a liar, therefore questioning my character? I am not sure if she will refuse to give a reference or not, should I let my new employer know that she may or may not give me a reference? Does she have any grounds for getting me struck off? and therefore ruining my career? Where do I stand? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
