  1. Hi guys Just need a little advice really, we were looking for s removals company, we had a quote and they said they could move us no matter what, even if doubled booked they have enough men/vans to cater for that it was to happen We accepted a quote including supply boxes etc, as with house sales dates move and change, they supplied boxes and we Packed and we eventually have a date. Then said they couldn't move us as they have another booking Then then have tried to bill us for boxes. Do.i have to pay, no contact was signed and the verbal contract was they can move us no matter what and it was the removals company who couldn't furfill the contract. Any help with this matter would be great
  2. When we first moved to the area we now live and registered with a GP Surgery, we were told that they offered a "service". Prescriptions could be fulfilled by their on site pharmacist. If you have a paper script to take to somewhere like Boots or independent pharmacy, you have to drop the script off then wait an hour for it to be ready. It is a 22 mile round trip and including the waiting time, the time you need to set aside (if you are just going for the drugs) is around 2 hours. So we decided to take up the offer of collecting from the surgery. Around 5 years ago, they put in place a procedure where you had to put in your repeat prescription, 7 days before you required them. Without fail, you would then turn up at the surgery only to find that the prescriptions were not read for collection - you could hang around for up to an hour before they got their act together. Or go away and come back later. The surgery is a 6 mile round trip. Over the last 18 months we are finding more and more that they are not only not ready, but their supplier is unable to provide one or more of the drugs that hubby takes. - so you are then given a paper script to take to Boots.. see palaver above ! IMHO this is not good practice, should they not tell us earlier that they are not going to be able to fulfil the whole prescription ? Who do I take this up with? because the surgery just seems to shrug this off. Do others have this issue with repeat prescriptions ?
  3. I needed something urgently so used wickes.co.uk and they state next day delivery. Its now been 4 days and I still don't have it. They keep on messing me around saying someone will contact me and I have lost a days labor due to this and will again on Monday. The money has been taken from my card and my receipt says next day delivery. Anything I can do?
  4. Hi All, Just been reading another thread and thought I would re-post about my problem with Welcome Finance. I took out a secured loan in 2006, the property was repo'd by the original mortgage lender (I gave them the keys instead of going to court). Welcome got a payout of 10G from the sale, I thought that was that. About two years ago they came back to me demanding a further 10G as it was a shortfall, so began a very long and inevitably fruitless complaint with Welcome. All until the last letter that I had which stated: "The loan was pre-paid, which means the loan was in CREDIT at that time not necessarily settled" I've sent my complaint to the FSCS on the advice of the FOS, however am I right in thinking that they should have settled the loan and gone no further? As they are a failed company guess they are trying to get as much money off people as possible.
