  1. Vodafone have recently charged me for going over my myfi data allowance without giving me notification that I am about to exceed my allowance as they have done before via the app for the device. I have now been billed for £245 for over using me device without my knowledge. I spoke to the complaints department today who have told me that they can reduce the bill by £44! and that I should have self managed my allowance by checking my app despite me telling them that the app is not working. They pointed out that my bill will increase due to late payment (I refused to pay ) and that my details are now with the bailiffs! I found that I am not the only one with the problem when I searched online this afternoon I found that I am not the only one with the problem. Apparently its in their contract to advise their customer that they are about to go over their allowance. Can someone advise or tell me if this the right way to approach the problem and if so how should I go about it. I did find a link for this but the post wont let me add it as I am new. Thank you
  2. Just received Civil Parking charge notice for exceeding allowed duration of stay by 40mins at Lidl. Did not enter car reg at terminal, do not have any shopping receipt either. Says amount due £90, discounted ot £45 if paid in 14 days. It has photos of car entering and leaving site with car reg, can't see driver in photo. PCN issued by Athena ANPR Ltd " the creditor". what do i do? no income, no savings. thanks
  3. Got a PCN charge for £100 for a duration of 31 minutes where the first 30 minutes was free. Looking at the actual time stamps the car was in the car park (not parked) for 95 seconds. I have sent the usuall response i.e. informing them there is no way they have suffered a loss for the car being in the car park for 95 seconds. However. I have subsequently found out that you are now supposed to obtain a ticket for the free period. They have only very recently changed their signeage to reflect this. For the past number of years this has never been the case before. On going back and looking at the signage it states that parking starts 5 minutes after entering the carpark meaning the car was only there for around 26 minutes. I have no intention of paying this so the main question is "Can they realistically issue a charge for not displaying a ticket especially as their signage clearly states 30 minutes, a big notice on the machine says "please pay for your stay" and then in small print informs you actually need to get a ticket. If a big sign says 30 minutes free and sign at the ticket machined says "please pay for your stay" I would deduce that becuase you stay for less than 30 minutes you dont need to pay therefore there is no need to get a ticket. They are essentially charging me £100 for not getting a ticket. I beat them last time when I dared them to take me to court but it is just hassle and un necessary stress.
  4. Looking for some advice, whats the best action to take? Is Ignoring really the best? Wife got caught exceeding the 2 hour limit by 34 minutes, apparently the shops were busy!!!!! There was one little mistake on the notice letter, in that they didnt include our property number, just the name of the street. Is this enough to disregard this? (there are only 2 properties on our street though, but surely the principle should apply!!) Cheers

I have had to go into my Gas emergency credit - what happens if I exceed the £5.00 limit? its already on -£3.85 and its got to last me two days - naturally I have turned the boiler off am only having it come on for short intervals tonite.. and I won't be using the hot water! Am just worried about if I exceed my emergency credit limit will it just shut off? am guessing it will... Btw I am going to change to EDF as I have heard they don't charge a standing charge unlike all the others and offer £6.00 emergency credit - does anyone know if this is true? Many thanks for your replies.
