  1. As i understand it I can Voluntary Termination at any time but will be liable to 50% of the total agreement. I intend to VT my HP agreement however I am £93.00 away from 50%. If I send notification of VT on Monday along with a cheque for £93.00 would this be accepted?
  2. I signed a franchise aggreement (unfortunately) and I would like to know if the : personal guarantee`s that was included is legal, if it was not witnessed, at the time of signing, and their is no provision for a witnesses signature, is there a set format for this, and could it be deemed invalid and/or, not binding? when is a deed not a deed? Your advice would be welcome. Thanks!
  3. My husband has a disciplinary meeting next week. Another worker claims he was rude/bullying. Since her complaint, her boss has claimed she witnessed a similar incident "about 6 months ago" but didn't do any thing about it at the time. He has received their statements, however, they have not taken a statement from his colleague who was there nor have they requested CCTV of either incident. They are saying it could be classed as Gross Misconduct but he has not been suspended. Can they use a statement from someone with no evidence other than her recollection of something approx 6 months ago that was not reported at the time? Should they have asked for a statement from the other person there? Can my husband ask for this to be done before the meeting?
  4. Hi you techi's I wonder if you could throw some light on a problem I have with Word when saving the document? Microsoft Office Word 2007 OP XP Pro Once I have opened a new document (or old one come to that) and wish to save it, there are 2 ways I know of for doing so. 1) Use the 'disc' icon next to the Microsoft office icon top left hand corner which sits in the uppermost quick action toolbar along with a printer icon, ABC, and arrow for going back a stage. 2) Use the Microsoft icon and come down to 'Save As' then place the document in appropriate file I want. Now 2) works perfectly, but 1) doesn't and sends the document into a wrl or some such file with a ~$ before the document name. and it says it can't save the document, then I lose the document altogether or cannot open it if I do find it. It's not a big problem, but it's annoying as I know that's not supposed to happen and probably I have a corrupted 'something' gizmo inside the machine. Any ideas what it is and how I can remedy it? Thanks, no rush. A1 p.s. I still have those 3 blown capacitors inside the pc waiting to be fixed, whether that has any remotely associated causation connection to this problem only you guys can say, just thought I'd mention that.
  5. Hi folks, I am just about to have a hissy fit......Can anyone tell me what might be happening to my Word documents and how I can remedy this situation? I start up a document in Word 97-2003 doc, I work away saving occasionally and if I leave it for 10 minutes I find it automatically going into a 'Back-up' mode and the Document becomes a Backup of.....the original gone. Sometimes I cut and paste onto a new document make a new reference for it and the same thing happens to that and I have now a whole swathe of 'Backup' documents in the folders. I opened a letter I was working on this morning and made some pretty smart changes (I was in fine fettle this morning) and this back-up mode kicked in again, then out of the blue it comes up with an error message saying that the file cannot be saved because it is being used somewhere else on the PC....I'm storing this on a plug-in gadget. No matter what you do, this file cannot be saved and you have to exit it, you can't cut and paste because there no access to the open document and once out all the changed data is lost I'd been working on for the last few hours and it reverted back to the document I opened before hand. Even though I'd 'saved' numerous times, it still went back to the opening document. - Naturally, I screemed. It's driving me mad and I've never experienced this before with this damned machine - so what's going on - any ideas? I'm using XP still and Microsoft Word Sorry to bother you all with this Thanks
  6. Hello I am Chinese studying in UK. I applied for a Driving Permit one month ago. I sent both my passport and Residence Permit. But DVLA sent me back only my passport. I have tried to contact them more than 20 times already. I have booked hotels and ferries already, as I was planning a holiday around Europe. Now I cannot apply a Schengen Visa, because they've lost it?. Please help me. I need to file a complaint and ask for compensation of around £2860 DVLA is holding me a prisoner in UK
  7. Hi Everyone, Could anyone help me as i dont know what to do again, i sent my document to DVLA applying for my first Licence on 29/01/14, i understood clearly how they lost people's documents and that was why i had to inserted a 'SIGN FOR' return envelope in the application envelope and i received the tracking number at post office. After just a week i got the Driver Licence at my post without the documents submitted, i expected the Document would be received few day later, i waited for couple of weeks without receiving my documents then i rang DVLA to verify why ive not receive my documents, i was told that Royal Mail has taken it away since 29/01/14 from them that they have the Barcode evidence of the documents departure to Royal Mail but when i tracked it with the tacking number given me at Post Office, i got this "Information on your item is not yet available online. Information on your Royal Mail Signed For™ item is not yet available." then i rang RM and i was told that DVLA hasn't given them the said document! both of them denied so am so annoyed and confused. but DVLA told me they have sent a letter containing the Barcode evidence of document receoived by RM and until this morning RM keeps denying they never took any said documents from DVLA..... please help me here as i do not know what to do again and am afraid of ID theft! What can I do please?
  8. Ok - total oversight / head in the sand job here. Have not updated the registered keeper address on my registration document for nearly 4 years - just got my tax today & the post office lady spotted & said I had to send it off & update it - which I now have. I'm just worried will this highlight any skeletons in the closet ? - Speeding fines - Late tax fines And would it be better to call DVLA to check current status or just leave it ? Any advise appreciated. Thanks
  9. Hi I received a letter from a County Court Bailiff called Mr Morgan. The letter says "I am holding a very important document for your attention. You must call " The letter then goes onto say, if you ignore this document you may be committed to prison for contempt of this court but at no point in the letter does it say what the document is. Does anybody know if i'm obliged to respond to this? Particularly as the letter doesn't state what the document is. An advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
  10. It seems for purposes of this document, examination and assessment are interchangable. http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/130158/response/327490/attach/4/ESA%20Filework%20Guidelines%20V7%20Final.pdf Thanks to those A Beresford and the website whatdotheyknow for getting the info.
  11. Hi, Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes; To cut a long story short I claimed against a 2nd hand car dealer for a £1000 car which blew up one week after the sale. I was successful in court but he proved to be evasive and was finally tracked down 2 years later by the High Court Bailiffs. He countersued claiming £14K storage costs for the vehicle but I stood to loose £20K if the case went to trial. I couldn't afford to pay my solicitor any further whilst he received legal aid and had to settle the case. In the end I agreed to pay £10K in instalments and the other side have placed a charging order on my property with the dodgy dealer keeping the car (so much for justice). Is this document legal/enforceable? I've only blacked out the sensitive bits. Thanks for your help. RoF.
  12. Hello Can anyone tell me what a D90 document is. I had a note left by a County Court Bailiff saying they had one which needed my attention. I haven't got a clue what this is about.
