  1. Hi, I'm as mad as hell about this, but I will try to keep a level head to explain, and any advice you can all give I'd really be grateful. I run a small business - 7 employees. But I was hoping to expand a few months ago and realised I needed to take on an office administrator to deal with the day-to-day running of things. (Simple tasks like photocopying, ordering toner cartridges and paper, etc). I found someone and from the start she was awful. Incompetent, bolshy, not right for me or the other 6 workers in the company. But I'm not a monster so I gave her direction, training and
  2. Please, can someone offer me some sound legal advice regarding M.E/CFS and employment law? My situation is that I have officially been diagnosed with CFS (and therefore am most likely covered under the Equality Act 2010) and the condition has meant I have taken quite a bit of time off work in the last few months. However they have now started discussing my 'capabilities' and have mooted the idea that my contract could be terminated. I'm fairly confident that my condition (CFS) is covered by DDA, and I could pursue them for discrimination, wrongful dismissal and unfair dismissal. However I want t
  4. Most cases of disability discrimination involve someone applying for a job without revealing their disability. On being offered a job, they then divulge their disability. Subsequently the job offer is revoked. I was wondering at what point does disability discrimination happen? Take for example the following scenario. Someone applies for a job divulging their disability on application. Post-interview feedback gives reasons for rejection clearly related to their disability. E.g. lack of evidence of team-work skills, when that persons disability means team-work is particularly difficu
