  1. Help needed as i feel very strongly regarding a late payment charge of 12 pounds added to my account which i wish to dispute. I had an outstanding balance of 180 pounds which was due to be payed off by the 8th of July 2013, the goods i purchased was returned for a full refund and my account was credited back on the 20th June 2013. I believed this would put my credit card balance back to nil so no payment was necessary, this appears not to be the case. I am told that a credit refund does not count as a payment so i should of made a payment hence the charges.Does this really count as a late payment,it seems so unjust also do i have to worry regarding a late payment appearing on my credit file.
  2. Hi All First time post…. I need some advice concerning my credit problems. In 2008 my property business clasped and I completely lost my way which ended up with a breakdown and a short stay in hospital to get my health right. The sale of my business assets cleared my business debt but my personal debt remained. The three years that followed I was on a cocktail of anti depressants and other medication and was unable to work or even face people. During this time my credit cards, store cards and bank accounts were overdrawn in default and my lenders run riot with defaults and two CCJ’s. With both of these my wife sent in the reply paperwork to the court explaining the situation but this made no difference. One CCJ was for 8k issued in 2008 and the other 2k issued in 2010. I am now well on the mend and need to start sorting my credit file/ CCJs as I don’t want the company’s concerned instructing high court bailiffs. What is the best way to do this… I would like to get them overturned but given the time past I doubt this will happen therefore I would be happy to make an offer to satisfy. I have had some conflicting advice from various people, one has said “leave well alone given the time that has past” the other has said “request a copy of the original executed consumer credit agreements” An accountant friend of mine has said to try and identify if the credit companies have not complied with the statutory requirements, as this would enable the court to overturn the CCJ. Any advice would be most welcome….
