  1. So with the imminent closure of numerous Job Centre Plus offices around the country, there will also be the rollout of the new spangley, fandangley and utterly spiffing Health and Work Program. iirc as well as being mandatory for all WRAG, it will also encompass mandating people in the Support Group to appointments for a discussion on how they can help. Amazingly 'by leaving me alone to get better' is seen as to negative by the DWP Nudge Unit so we're all about to have to have something called a Health n Work conversation at one of the few (harder to get to) JCP offices remaining.
  2. I'm aware that this is a really old chestnut so I apologise in advance. If the last payment in an unsecured loan was in June 2008. Then the account was closed by the bank in October 2008 (I had no and at all in the account being closed). Can someone confirm that the Cause of Action was one month after the last payment and NOT when the account was closed? Replies very much appreciated and any evidence or examples to prove the above would be fantastic. M...
  3. Today I attended my local council office to discuss non payment of council tax over two years. I am currently paying £25 a month for this years tax but the sum of just under £1000 has a 'Liability order' against it. This is being collected by Pheonix Commerical Collections who have informed me tomorrow they will attending my property to seize goods. During my visit to the council I asked them that as the debt is owed to themselves then I wish to pay them directly and not to PCC. This was refused. I then asked the council employee if I he would set up a payment plan as I wish to
  4. Hi, I stumbled across this site following a recent incident involving a DCA. My situation is a DCA chasing me for payment on behalf of a business in my ex-wife's name. I have 2 issues really one it's the ex-wife's and I'm left carrying the can. 2, That business has ceased trading. As a result I'm on a really low income as a new singleton I wonder do I have any recourse with the to not "recognise" the debt or argue the case. It's for £500 should I just cough up small amounts to clear it and my name or what should I do please? I received a series of letters each getting more me
  5. SYLVIA:Hi! Wanda. WANDA: Hi! Sylvia. How did you die? SYLVIA: I froze to death. WANDA: How horrible! SYLVIA: It wasn't so bad. After I quit shaking from the cold, I began to get warm & sleepy, and finally died a peaceful death. What about you? WANDA: I died of a massive heart attack. I suspected that my husband was cheating, so I came home early to catch him in the act. But instead, I found him all by himself in the den watching TV. SYLVIA: So, what happened?
