Just looking for some advice. On Saturday I filled up at Asda using the Pay at Pump, filled up with diesel costing around £57. Prior to filling up we had around 80 miles left in the tank. Afterdriving to a few places my husband began our 30 mile drive home from my parents. While driving the car became sluggish, no power and wouldn't go above 60mph. I called our dealer on Monday and it was booked in for checks. Apart from a leak on the water pump all seemed OK with car but they said they suspected fuel contamination. I called Asda and was read a brief over the phone and was told there had been no other complaints about the fuel and that there was no way to prove contaminated fuel. I have had to now pay £324 to the garage for a tank drain, clean fuel line and a new fuel filter. I have contacted consumer direct who have informed trading standards. I have been advised to write to Asda where i filled up and Asda Head Office. So far I'm out of pocket by around £380 inc the lost diesel. Does anyome know what I can do or do I just leave it and take the hit. Many Thanks
