  1. My son was recently caught using his phone in school. He wasn't in a class full of stdents and im all for disapline in schools and i a gree he should not have been using it in school.they. took the phone from him and confiscated it. the only thing is that when I went uo to the school to ask for the phone at the end of the day they refused to let me have it back. they said they were allowed to confiscate it from us all . now does anyone else know of this its not a band weapon noer a danger to student safety. she said that when we agreed to my son coming to this school we agreed to this law. not that i know of and i agree to the confiscation in scool but not to them confiscating it for 24hours solid is this right anyone are the Gorse acadamy teachers allowed to play this part in our society. Best part of this hypocritical lot the teacher who found him on the phone was actually on the phone at the time.
  2. I was due to be sentenced for benefit fraud (did not declare change of circumstances regarding some savings). Strange thing is that they DWP cannot locate my original claim form and I have never completed an A2 form, so there is no paperwork of me saying I have no savings. As I say I was due to be sentenced at the Magistrates Court and a second before sentencing, the prosecution advised that the DWP want to implement a Confiscation Order. As a Mag court cannot implement a C Order it has to be transferred to the High Court. I have been waiting months for this to come to court, went just before Xmas and this was adjourned awaiting a Pre Sentence Report and I was expecting the outcome this week and now it has been put back again. I just want to know if I turn up at the next hearing and bring a cheque for the full amount of the overpayment will the DWP still insist on going down the Confiscation Route. I have already been making payments. If they do go down the confiscation route that will take another 6-8 months and this has been going on since April 2012. Any help would be welcomed.
  3. My mother had an agreed overdraft of £2,000 with LLoyds TSB and when she started to go over it was told there was leeway, with charges,no specific amount, just 'leeway'.This week her entire pension of £142,60 which she lives on was consumed and her debit card stopped, she has been unable to withdraw anything at all and was facing the prospect of not being able to buy food for a week. The next day they sent her a letter asking for the remaining £41.20 that she was overdrawn. Is there anyone to whom a complaint can be lodged about this or is it just something she has to put up with?
