  1. I check the mail for a friend who as been out of the country for some months, as is his motorcycle. He has recently been issued with a Charge Notice by Highview Parking at a Tesco. It states his vehicle is a white BMW with an 08 registration. These details and the Model stated are correct for his motorcycle. The Charge Notice gives photos of a car, an estate car, a dark blue Volvo, with an 06 registration - all other digits are the same. Clearly a "Robo" Charge for which no one at Highview has even bothered to look at their 'evidence' in their eagerness to gather cash and alie
  2. I got a PCN sadly I never realised my Disabled badge ran out yesterday. All be it a fair, as my fault for not noticing. The form to me is filled out incorrectly, stating my dark blue car is grey. Would this have any bearing as to the PCN being legally not binding? I ask as every other form I know needs to be filled in correctly or gets thrown out of court ect ect.
  3. Hi All, I bought an item from an online store 18 months ago - it has now gone faulty. The company are willing to replace it, however, they do not have any of my colour in stock for replacement (refurbished models). They have a newer device in similar colours, which I asked if they could replace with, to no avail. Aside from the colour, the replacement device is the same specifications as mine. Can I insist on getting the same colour device as my current one? Or does that lead to only a partial refund being available?
  4. Hi, There used to be a software attached to a website of someone like B & Q which allowed you to load up a photo of a room or wall area and allow you to try different colours to see what it might look like before going out to buy tins of paint you end up not liking. Would anyone know of such a website? There seems to be plenty of those kitchen design types of software, but I have specific doors (external) and inside walls and woodwork I'd like to try seeing in different shades just to see what it might look like and I can't find any website which can do that - anyone know of any pleas
  5. hi yesterday a car was driving like a nutter behind my wifes car with the young kids in it, she slowed down to let him pass and just as she done it he mounted the grass verge on the left and drove into the left front wing causing a dent, he shouted out of the window and drove off. my 16 year old daughter got the make and reg of the car which was a dark blue Vauxhall insignia, when we reported this to the police they said it must have had fake plates on as the car should have been a white Vauxhall insignia. this seems funny as the wife says it was blue and at 1pm in the afternoon I th
  6. I'm maybe being a bit thick, I thought if it ever happened to me I'd know all the elephant in the room questions but I can't think of anything sensible to ask...... It all started a month or so ago with excruciating stomach pains and loss of appetite [a biggie for me], then a few days ago it got so bad that I went to the quacks and had bloodtests within 72 hours was referred to the local hospital, I'm a funny shade of yellow at the mo so I guess I knew something was going a bit wonky. should have had the biopsy today but it was cancelled and replaced with a phone
  7. Hi Please can anyone help with this? A brand new red checked shirt was washed following the label instructions at 40 degrees and the red dye has run into several other garments dyeing them pink/red to the point that they are potentially ruined. Can anyone provide advise on how to approach the store to claim for the cost of the damaged clothes? Thanks for any help?
  8. Hello forum, I hope someone can help me as I'm feeling quite stressed about my situation. I am stressed at the lack of customer service I've received where people misquote prices and don't seem to care you have a timetable you need to stick to - they're quite happy to mess around with timings and not be accurate enough when they quote timings, they just don't care and they just want the sale. Quick bit of background and then will ask my questions. I ordered a Tamla lazy boy sofa 3 seater and a 1 seater (manual recliners) and was told 7-8 weeks for delivery. I was unaware at the time ther
  9. We've had trouble with discoloured tap water ever since we moved into this house, I think the neighbours get it too, not sure if it's as bad for them though. We've reported it to the water board several times, but they just say it's normal and acceptable to get slight discolouration from time to time - just a bit of sediment/rust in the pipes apparently. We asked them to fit a filter, but they said they wouldn't do that. Sometimes it's clearer than others, but today it's about as bad as it gets, so I took some pictures and filled a small bottle with a sample, intending to send it off
  10. Hi everyone, My Father in law very recently got a PCN for parking in a suspended bay. To put it in a nutshell, the council had suspended 6/7 pay and display bays along a stretch of road in South Croydon, for the use of "contractors" working on some pavement improvements on the opposite side of the road. There were signs up which were in my opinion deliberately confusing, as they stated hours between 8am and 5pm, but didn't make it particularly clear that this was a continuous suspension between two dates over three months. Signs were up, but poorly displayed, twisted around or back
  11. I used to know how to do it but have forgotten over time as I haven't had cause to use it. I have tried looking for it on site including Bookworm's excellent post http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?107001-quot-How-do-I...-quot-A-Dummies-Guide-to-this-Forum I know it requires the use of "color" within parentheses at the beginning and end of the statement, but I cannot remember what the magic words are. Or perhaps some one could kindly tell me where to find it on the site. Many thanks.
