Hi I am trying to get clarification if the cardholder protection plan on my Tesco card in the years 2000 - 04 were in fact PPI. The amount changed each month depending on how much I had spent. I did not have a balance on the card as it was paid in full each month, many times overpaid. I think in the 4 years I only got charged interest a few times. Also on the same card we had a yearly Sentinel protection paid once per year. What I am confused about is if this was in case my card got stolen, why would the amount fluctuate? surely it would be a standard price per year or month. I have read the date for claiming CPP has ended but I have also read that only applied for CPP between 2005 - 2014. So before I go to Tesco I would like to know if it is worth it and also what I had been sold Any advice appreciated

Received my DSAR from CitiFinancial re; platinum credit card taken out in 2003. received copies of statements and original application form, which includes a ticked box for "Cardholder Repayment Protection" which statements show I paid an average of £20 per month , is this the same as PPI?? I cannot remember asking for this. the statements also shows numerous Late Charges and Overlimit Charges for £20 a time. Also, £5 charges for cash advances. Many advice would be welcomed.

Hi Gang, My friend who I'm helping claim back their PPI from accounts that are statute barred or dealt with under a bankruptcy petition has had a letter back from Tesco saying and I quote "I can confirm that your account has not had a payment protection insurance added at any time", but clearly from the few statements that my friend has shown me, there are amounts debited with the description "Cardholder Protection Plan". So the questions are: What is "Cardholder Protection Plan"? Is it the same as PPI? Can it be claimed back in the same way? My friend was self-employed at the time he had this card, does this type of cover benefit self-employed people? Kind Regasrds EOS-5D
