The foreign exchange said they wont take it as it is ripped and the only option is to exchange it when I go back to Canada. Never been to Canada, unlikely I will ever go. Anyway to exchange it in Britain? Thanks

Hi Everyone, Im hoping that someone on here will be able to provide me with some insight. I left the UK in 2009 with 3 credit card debts of approximately 3,000 gbp each. Since leaving, I have been making minimum payments and have not missed a single payment to date. However, finances are becoming extremely tight and I can no longer afford to make my minimum payments. I am a Canadian, I live in Canada and as far as I know, only 1 of the 3 credit card companies knows of an address I had just after returning to Canada. I no longer have that address though. If I stop making my minimum payments, what will happen? After how long? I dont believe I can declare bankruptcy in the UK because it has been more than 3 years. I do not plan on returning to the UK ever. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Hi Forum Does anyone have any expertise regarding Canadian judgements Left a nasty relationship in BC Canada and returned home to the UK. Was not too clever when Satan and I split up. Hence Im back in the UK with Canadian unsecured debt that hasnt had anything paid on it in 5 yrs. Doing fine here and Canada is a bad memory so will never touch down there again. I have researched online how long a creditor has to seek a judgement in british columbia and get 2 answers , one is 6 years , same as the sol timing the other is the judgement must be sought within the first 2 years of the 6. Anyone know which is fact? The other question is does anyone know if the rules re a default judgement are the same as here where you can argue to have it over turned if you were not a resident of Canada at the time. Kind regards T
