I have just recieved a "Parking charge - final reminder" from Park with Ease. It refers to a period of parking dated July 2014 (3 years and 5 months ago) I ignored their begging letters back then and have heard nothing from them for over 3 years. Can they pursue this after all this time?

Back in May I parked at Brockholes on a bank holiday, i hadnt been there before, it was full and as i pulled in before the car park there was a grass bank, where someone pulled out so i left the car there, spent an hour in the visitor centre and so on, then left, i didnt see anyone paying nor any ticket machines anywhere, nor any signs. The notice was dated 11 June 2 weeks and 2 days later. I wrote back to them explaining the above and they replied saying there are huge signs everywhere. .but without driving back i wouldnt know so i asked them for a pic or diagram they refused to give me anything said they were not obliged to do this. Is there anything i can do with this or do i just need to pay?

I joined this forum after googling "parking disputes at Brockholes" (nr Preston.) I am not the first to raise this issue. Today (2nd September 2016) I have received a letter from Park with Ease (dated 24th August 2016 , Envelope unfranked so I cannot prove posting date) claiming I didn't pay my parking fees at Brockholes Country park on 9th August 2016 and demanding £50 fine (or £25 if I pay up quickly!!) Try googling 'disputes with carparking at Brockholes' and it is amazing how often this situation comes up. Brockholes don't accept responsibility for any of this - as they state on their web site... Brockholes have a vehicle recognition system in place. A sign advised you to pay on leaving the car park. I did so - paid the maximum £6 and had a conversation with strangers at the payment machine as to the expense of the fees. I have no evidence or proof that I paid. Parked on 9th August. - I don't dispute that I parked but I know I paid the maximum amount. .. what to do if I cannot prove I paid almost a month later? Park with Ease is apparetly registered with IPC and hence have the right to get my personal details from DVLA. Furious as I really cannot prove I paid -- what can I do?

Hi I received the attached PCN from Park With Ease after a visit to Brockholes, Preston. I was aware of the free initial 20 minutes and did not think we had exceeded this. The 'offence' occurred on 01/10/14. The PCN is dated 04/11/14 (34 days later) The PCN arrived in my post on 07/11/14 (37 days after the offence). The charge seems excessive to me. Before I do something stupid, can thgis be enforced, and would I win an appeal?
