  1. Hi everyone, sorry I'm posting a lot. Bailiff from Marstons arrived at doorstep at 8:57pm says I have to pay £797 for unpaid car tax. i ghuess it relates to a car I sold last year. I never received a magistrates summons. he says I have to pay tonight or he has to enter the property and document belongings etc... what can/should I do? thanks so much
  2. Hi all, I rent a house. My landlady has some issue with Npower an an outstanding amount. There was a letter, which I opened at her request, from last month saying they were going to have a hearing on a date now passed (but not when the letter was sent) to gain a warrant of entry to enter your home. I went out today and when I came back there was a gas pre-pay meter installed (outside) and a letter on the table inside. all the windows were closed and the doors were locked. I think they must have picked the lock on the front door. Is this legal? is there anything

Hi all having a few problems Had a liability order against me and the OH I accept no probs, I have defaulted on the agreement with the council as money dried up and had to choose between food and heat or paying, I have paid just over 1/3 £950.00 remains They have given me 14 days from 15-12-10 to pay in full.or they will pass to the Baliffs. they go on to tell be about the Admin & enforcement act amended 2006 From what I have read on the forum this does not sound right.( some is but not all) 1st no distress 24.50 2nd 18.00 leveying distress 24.50 for 1st 100
  4. Hello everybody, I had a bailif round my house this morning and give me a letter with new charges ,so im wondering if they are correct or not. Original debt when i rang the council was £728.22 First letter from bailif said £750.72+costs Second letter said £767.22+costs And today they came round with a van and gave me the letter balance now £944.72 They didnt come in ,never been in the house. Is this what they usually charge ? Thanks for any help
  5. Hi a Bailiff from Jacobs visited my house recently whilst I was out and left a Notice of Seizure in my letterbox. He has written the details of my van and car on the notice and added fees of £172.50 on top of the amount that I already owe. I did make an arrangement to pay him and have the money but have just been laid off from work, if I pay him I wont be able to look after my family until work starts again. I rang him and tried to make a smaller payment but he would not accept it. I have signed on this morning at the job centre. I am due to pay him today and am really worried that

Ok About 10 minutes ago i had a bailiff from Marstons come knocking at my door, Did not let the man in but went outside to speak to him, I explained that i tried to make the payments and am in codependents with marstons and the guy was stumped he said i don't want to force entry into your home please dont think that and i wont be coming back again "he has passed out case on to the welfare office" so that we can have more time to pay Is this even heard of? He also showed me proof of his report and all the letters from the courts then showed me the welfare check list that we fall
